“ Worried—We are now seeing lots of outdoor-only #DeltaVariant transmission between strangers with no direct contact. These sports attendees weren’t even sitting together—likely fleeting transmission at “pinch points” (bottlenecks) at stadium🏟 gates. This would change everything.”

Sigh...

Unless you're breathing in the face of, or exchanging bodily fluids with someone outside, there is very little risk of viral transmission outside, ESPECIALLY when in the sun, because UV tends to have a strongly antimicrobial effect on many kinds of pathogens that normally only live inside bodies. In fact, even in a very general sense, one of the few microorganisms that can handle a lot of sun/UV is algae, and algae is kind of a weird hybrid organism that is often classified as kind of between plant and bacteria. (And while many algae species are quite toxic if ingested for most mammals, some are quite health promoting).

Then there is the humidity factor. Particularly in places of higher humidity, viral transmission tends to go way down in summer because of the greater humidity. The heavier, moisture laden air, tends to make viruses sink to the ground faster. There has been actual research and studies on this known phenomenon. Obviously this is not much of a factor in desert and near desert like climes. But there are far more people that live on the humid coasts than in very dry climes on a whole...

It is just scaremongering for the sake of scaremongering.

Thinking critically, independently, and holistically is fast becoming a lost method and approach it seems.
