Maybe this sounds a bit morbid but do any other 12th house people wish for death sometimes? I do, I have always considered death to be a blessing, an escape from all the pain and worries of this physical reality. This not to say that I do not mourn when loved ones die by any means because I do. I also want to clarify that I'm not talking about suicide either, I'm talking about dying of natural causes, preferably while asleep. Can anyone relate?

Yes I can.
I'm not a 12th houser
It's not unusual to want to die.
I think death seems peaceful, suicide is well just sad.

Well I kinda wished for it once (well I was 17 at the time, don't judged lol).

That time I was so tired and haunted by the past. I suddenly thought that if I were to die and melt into the air, it'd be a perfect "escape". But that thought lasted for only a few minutes at most. I felt like I was admitting defeat and heh, it just didn't sit well with me. I experienced the ugly side of life, so I wanted to live 'till the day I get to taste its sweetness too.

I can, at least in my own way, supposedly it's my 6H Cappie Lilith that inspires that rather than 12H. I see death as a completion of the story and it can be as beautiful as it is sad and it's all part of a cycle that allows life to continue. Even a vegan can't make a garden without killing plants and animals (not even if they use a greenhouse).

I can find a dark beauty to songs like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5waygXK3qYg

As Silent as the rain fall
He whispers in the wind
Caressing softly weary words, his kiss
This your Autumn come with eyes
Pale as the night
To enfold the storm

[Chorus]:
To dance
Within the frost
To carry dreams of life away to dust
To call
Your name out loud
To carry fear away cast down the shroud
To die

When summer fades to silence
When winter's still a dream
And solemn sleep to you is blind again
And the Autumn comes with amber eyes
Pale as the night
To enthrall your soul

[Chorus]:
To shatter doubt

And when the years have passed away
When memories have gone
And darkness is your day
Your dreams of Autumn carry you to days of youth and life

And sorrow falls before the drifts of faded scarlet skies
When Autumn called your name
Only the silence calls your name

yeah i do but not death. Just stop existing in this reality. I feel like i sit with one foot in reality and another on the other side. Between wordly pleasures and the need to go and lock myself up in a monastery.

I await the time when the Lord takes me.

"Oh well, I'm tired and so weary
But I must go alone
Till the lord comes and calls, calls me away, oh yes
Well the morning's so bright
And the lamb is the light
And the night, night is as black as the sea, oh yes

There will be peace in the valley for me, some day
There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray
There'll be no sadness, no sorrow
No trouble, trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley for me, for me

Well the bear will be gentle
And the wolves will be tame
And the lion shall lay down by the lamb, oh yes
And the beasts from the wild
Shall be led by a child
And I'll be changed, changed from this creature that I am, oh yes

There will be peace in the valley for me, some day
There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray
There'll be no sadness, no sorrow
No trouble, trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley for me, for me"

My sun is ruled by, and in mutual reception with, 12H Saturn. My 8H Pisces moon rules my 12H.

I almost got hit by a car the other day and the first thought that went through my head was, "Darn, I just missed my ticket out of this place."

It wasn't a morbid thought to me.

I love my children and will do everything in my power to stick around for them as long as I can. It's just that underlying all of that..yes...there is usually a desire to escape this world completely.

I do relate.

Though I am working on not being this way, I consider it a problem that has to be overcome. In fact I go through phases where I am so enthralled with life that my death wish goes away. If I eat really healthy for a long time, that helps...the life energy of raw food, for example, confers a sense of aliveness and joy that is unique, and there's no substitute for it.

OMG YTA

ELVIS

Yes I'm gonna walk
All that Milky white Way
Oh Lord some of these days....

Also his song Green Green Grass of Home applies here...

Come to think of it, much of his Gospel music repertoire is basically about a death wish. And then this very poignant line from American Trilogy:

Hush now baby, don't you cry
You know your daddy is bound to die...
But all my trials Lord
Will soon be over.

Why do 12th house people feel this way and not 8th? Or is it that 8th house people are more suicidal? I know you mean AG, I have Mars and Jupiter in the 12th and I'm not suicidal nor do I hate my life, but living is somewhat burdensome if that makes sense.

Well, now my turn...

Having Sun, Mars, Mercury and Pluto in the 12th house (Sun,Mercury and Pluto in scorpio), I had times I'd like to commit sucide. I don't have that thought that it' s sin or so. I understand people who did it. Relieve the pain.

I went to a phase that all other people seemed to be happier than me. All my family is ill, depression and other diseases. I grew up with that scenario. My mother didn't give me much attention becaus of her depression, so I always felt alone.

My depression time was from 21 to 24 years old. No boyfriend, not many friends, wanted to do things but no force to do so. Wanted to die. I felt my life was useless, why to be in pain? Why all people around my neightbor were happy but not me? Was I doing something wrong?

I went off from all of this when I really found out about spirituality. I understood all the paisn I was, I can see the ugly in this world, ans that hurt my soul, but now I realize that I can bring happiness to the world, showing that I can make something beautiful. I started painting and drawing again.

I try to use the best in my natal chart, my emotional world I tranfer to paper to bring some hope... That helped me a lot!! =)

It can be a very comforting thought. For a moment. The "problem" is our existence doesn't end with the death of this body and higher planes of existence may not be perfect either and even though the physical pain will be gone you still might be able to experience its emotional version. You can escape the situation but not yourself...I suspect the only guarantee of 100% happiness and peace is reconnecting with the Source. The question is - can we ever figure out how?

12th housers long for all forms of escape, and Death can be seen as the ultimate escape. That's probably the difference between 12th and 8th house yearnings, which are probably more about renewal.

I agree with you Cappy! I think that having the 12th house full, can be a blessing or a doom. I think we can reach the Source easier, but we can be lost easier too. I'm very emotional, I sometimes feel that all the sorrow of the world is behind my back... =(

I forgot to mention Death was one of my favorite comic book characters by Neil Gaiman. I loved what a perky goth she was who greeted the dead with a cheerful smile (my favorite was where she was momentarily transformed into a living person for a single day, a process so she'd remain understanding to those who she met at death). And it's pretty much how I see death (that might be my Sag optimism mixing with 6H Cappie Lilith).

The only thing I think about death is it's a way to never have to be in the place I live ever again. I think to myself, when I am dead I will never see this place ever again and that's a very comforting thought. It's the ultimate escape from my surroundings and some of the people in them even though I don't wish to escape them all, just some.

I don't know what about you but I believe in reincarnation. And if it's real then you might end up here again just like you probably have before many times. Kinda sucks if you don't like this planet.

Do you think planets in the 12th house (or 8th, since we're indirectly including karma in here) mean we were reincarnated, or will be? And do we get immediately reincarnated?

I don't know about houses, I'm not that good. But can something like that be detected in a chart in the first place? Hmmm...Anyway, if for some reason you stay here (or rather close to this dimension) after death then you'll avoid instant reincarnation but I don't recommend playing a ghost, at least not for a long time. That would be frustrating and lonely. Hey, I'll make a thread in DD with my opinions on reincarnation. You're invited

That's a difficult question to answer lol. To put it simply its a person with 12th house planets . The life experiences of a 12th house person will depend upon which planets they have there. IMO most 12th house people experience a lot of pain or sadness at some point in their lives.. 12th house people are usually loners by choice or social outcasts.
