Most people know my struggles with my mother. I have not talked to her for about 8 months. In that time, I feel more grounded but it is very hard for me not to call her. I am a Cancer Moon and Mars. Family is everything to me by the nature of my chart.
However, she is a huge gaslighter and she bends reality to keep her mask on, as all gaslighters do.
When I found the Alice in Wonderland asteroid in exact conjunction with my Mercury, I knew that was a piece of the puzzle of my life.
God made me very logical and rational with a gemini stellium in the 9th House and a Cancer moon here and conj the MC
If I was not like this, no way could I have come this far with this present level of sanity.
However, my question is about people who have a family which skews reality. What do you do?------------------

First of all, I hope you have told her all of this. I hope that you have told her how you perceive her and how it affects you. If you have not done so, I would go tell her right away. If she doesn't get it tell her that this issue is so great for you that you feel you are in a better place without her because of these issues. If she is still unwilling to listen I would let her sit on it and revisit it at a later date. You really can't ask people to change their perceptions and change overnight, but if you are patient enough it can happen eventually. My only worry is that this will be exceedingly difficult for you because your mother bends reality (aka is lying to herself). If this doesn't change you might have to accept what you can get or decide that it is not worth it and get your emotional needs met elsewhere.IP: Logged |

I know what you are going through, I'm a cancer moon with mother issues (thankfully I have been able to work through most of them though, under threat of a few ultimatums like leaving). I'm also lucky to have an air sun sign, which balances out my cancer emotional needs. I'm quite self-sufficient at this point.IP: Logged |

I think you should get rid of the attachment to her. This relationship brings nothing positive into your life and I doubt it'll change. Yes, she's your mother blah blah but sharing DNA alone is not reason enough to love someone and keep them close. It should be earned. It's high time to move on. You'll be fine without her. You can find warm and support somewhere else. Don't expect it from someone who's apparently uncapable of it. Some relationships are not meant to work and it's better to accept it.------------------

Yes, Ami. In so many twisted ways they mind bended reality, and still do. I have sun in cancer in the fourth house combust chiron, opposite saturn. My parents planets pack my 12th house. My moms sun, saturn, and mars are on my moon in 12th. My dads mars is on my ic.Just checked and the alice asteroid you mentioned is rx right on my nn in the 11th house. IP: Logged |
