Mine is extra-soft, aqua blue and called "Pro".I'm a pushover, a bit cool and set high standards for myself (or am a lady of the night, however you interpet it). I think there's definitely something in this! Whaddya think? (Soz, I'm in a stupid mood and am now retiring to my boudoir.) IP: Logged |

Mine is soft, and white and pink in colouring. I'm girlier/more feminine than I might appear.IP: Logged |

Oh god I have an electric toothbrush. Sonicare. My husband has sun conjunct Uranus and he's really into electricity. And he has three Virgo planets. When we first got married, he was like, "You need this." And I shrunk back and said, "Nahhhhhhhhh it's like a jackhammer, I don't want to be mean to my gums...." But he's persuasive and I'm....docile or whatever...so I have this toothbrush. I've gotten so used to it I don't think of it anymore. Kinda the same way I feel about him. (Just kidding! ) I guess if he dies first, I will keep using the Sonicare to keep his memory alive. And my gums alive (it really does a good job.) Though, I've always wondered what neem branches taste like.... IP: Logged |

haha Faith.Oh I forgot to add, does one floss? My dentist keeps telling me I should floss, but I find the idea of putting a piece of string up my gums a bit disturbing! What does not flossing say about me I wonder? That I'm a slob perhaps? (Please take this thread with a big pinch of salt!) IP: Logged |

I've seen your picture. I know you're not a slob!I floss religiously. Once you start you cannot stop. I mean once you see what comes out, you cannot leave it in there. I'm trying to tell you this gently. Sorry to be the one to tell you. ETA: Actually I think some people have better, self-cleaning gums, because my best friend has never flossed, ever (she told me so) and her gums are a lovely pink. She is like a periodontal miracle. I also do oil pulling, though not every night. Makes me feel like I just came home from the dentist with my teeth polished. IP: Logged |

What's oil pulling? I've never heard of that. But then I'm British, we don't look after our teeth as well as Americans! IP: Logged |

Update, I'm now a born-again flosser. I just did it and although traumatic at points (string getting stuck in my back teeth), I'd say it was rather productive. My nice Malaysian dentist (Dr Chua - yes, that is indeed his name), would be very proud. IP: Logged |

Floss is weird but strangely habit-forming once you get into it. quote: Originally posted by Jo B: But then I'm British, we don't look after our teeth as well Americans!
British...American...it's all the same. *giggle* Oil pulling is putting oil in your mouth and swishing it around for a while: http://wellnessmama.com/7866/oil-pulling-for-oral-health/ As the oil squishes between the teeth it removes debris and becomes part of the wave you are guiding around your mouth, and then spit out. It's sorta like using a water pick to floss with. If you oil pull, flossing isn't quite as much the search and rescue operation it can be on other days. K I'm talking too much about the private life of my teeth. What kind of toothbrushes do you use LL? I'm just spectating. IP: Logged |

Nah it's informative as I've never heard of it, and will definitely give it a try. After all, we only have one set of gnashers. IP: Logged |

Faith, I pull oil too! Coconut. Apparently you can pull other kinds, but I can't deal with anything other than coconut. Coconut is great for your skin and nails too.My toothbrush looks brutalized, which speaks the my insecurities about my smile. I LOVE to smile and I love to smile big, but my teeth are crooked, so I'm obsessed with what I can control which is how clean and white they are. We were too poor when I was growing up for braces. I always thought I'd get braces as an adult, but then I had a bunch of children, and not all of them inherited their father's perfect smile. Now I have to get to the back of the line But here's a song by J Cole who also has a crooked smile IP: Logged |

D: I need to floss and oil pull now. :kMy tooth brush says I'm a slob who brushes but doesn't clean the brush. Bleh. IP: Logged |

Mine is an Oral B - 1-2-3 indicator toothbrush. I like the green colour, but often buy the blue one. It's medium in size and firm. It gets the job done and there's a visible plan for when it needs to be changed. My toothbrush definitely describes me when it comes to projects and my approach to things that matter. I've got a Virgo MC lol P.s. Jo B I've really enjoyed your posts recently... Keep them coming sweets x IP: Logged |

Thank you ikja, that's kind. *blushes* I just have no life at the moment. And I forgot to brush last night before I hit the sack, bad bad girl! Which reminds me, I must get to the chemist for that coconut oil. IP: Logged |

That just means you pick the coolest topics. It's an honor. We're the saddos with no topics to come up with. Kidding. We're all perfect, and astrologers are taking over the world, and it starts here. IP: Logged |

I bought this the other day...I tried it not just on my teeth but also put a tiny bit on my hair after washing. My hair was all lovely and soft(ish) afterwards! Having a frivolous Friday and posting mundane stuff. Bear with me. IP: Logged |

I love using coconut oil on my hair, and my teeth. As long as I use enough shampoo, to wash it out. My mouth feels so clean after swishing with it. IP: Logged |

Well teasel I just put a tiny bit on after washing in place of my usual product and thought it would go all greasy, but when it dried out it felt pretty soft. Once I went to Egypt and on my first day on the beach I put a load of coconut oil (or something similar) in my hair (I've no idea why). So during the course of the day I was asked out by the guy selling sea excursions. I thought "Oh why not, he's Egyptian, he can show me the best places to hang out". He was also quite attractive, I have to admit. So back in my hotel room preparing for my date, I have a shower but cannot for the life of me get rid of the grease in my hair. I don't have any clarifying shampoo and have no idea where to buy some so go down to the hotel lobby and ask if they have any salt. Naturally they thought I was crazy, but found me some. The salt didn't work, so what with my hair being all slicked back like something out of a New romantic band, and my face covered with mosquito bites from my first night's sleep at the hotel, I went out on my date looking rather bizarre.
