I used to get them badly. I used to swim an hour a day in a lap pool. I would have them in the pool. Once I turned around mid lane and hit a big guy head on It is not funny at all. I have had them since I was a little kid but now only seem to get them when I am at the dentist or something like that. IP: Logged |

Anything to do with your relationship? Remember to take slow, deep breaths if this happens. IP: Logged |

Talk to your doctor about Atavan. Lots of folks take it for anxiety/panic attacks. I started having panic attacks in my 30s. No idea why. I hope you feel better soon. IP: Logged |

No Lorazepam(Ativan is the brand name) is not the way to go!! It's a controlled substance. Does sooo much more damage and masks the problem. Dealing with these demons now and talking it out is the route people should take. These medications do so much damage to our bodies and always cause so many other problems while "fixing" the one. I worked in a pharmacy, dealt with thousands of patients on it. IP: Logged |

This is my opinion, too, Barbie.

If your panic attacks are psychologically caused and not physically caused; then sure, do not use Atavan. But if caused by a physical issue, that is a different thing.IP: Logged |

Did you notice a pattern of what triggered these? Any particular food/liquid, sleeping pattern, people, or situation that is in common?Have you considered meditation or slow breathing? I have had panic attacks so I understand the feeling. Talking to myself and breathing slowly seems to help me out. Stay away from caffeine or any other stimulants and make sure to eat something every couple of hours to stabilize your blood sugars.

Awww stay strong! Take deep breaths when u get them. Try to do something simple when u get them. Last year,I got them couple of times ,when we moved to a new house. A wall in the bedroom was painted in tones of red.Weird. I think that colour triggered those attacks(IMO). Whenever that happened,I sipped water slowly, walk a bit and count till thousand. It helped a lot. Dont worry too much about this,Frankie. Dont let this experience overwhelm you. Stay strong.
