Expert Says YES: Liars are Least Likely to Suffer Rape, Regardless of their Appearance, Dress, Behavior, or Risk-Taking--- In a controversial new publication, Professor Aquaguy from Lindaland, Tennessee, has argued that his comprehensive review of available data has confirmed this rather eccentric hypothesis: Women who are NOT raped are the most likely to prosecute, in an effort to be "trendy." "It's pure logic," says Aquaguy. "The ones who don't get raped are most likely to press charges." So...men don't want to rape dishonest women? "That seems to be the case," Aquaguy patiently explains. "If you think about it, doesn't matter what a girl looks like or how easy a target she is, if she's a liar...ew! Who would want to touch that!" "This why most men who face charges for rape are innocent: their accusors are liars. And how do we know they are liars? Because they are charging men of raping them! And everyone knows men don't rape liars." Some people find this line of logic inaccurate and inoffensive, but Aquaguy is comfortable with his conclusions, knowing that he has dug deep into the research. And he even has some ardent supporters rallying him in his efforts to bring these findings to light. What's the best possible outcome for his work? "I just want girls to remember not to lie. That will guarantee they will never get raped," says Aquaguy. And if an honest girl does get raped? (After all, men don't rape the liars...) "She should go to court but we should be very suspicious of her and assume she is a trendy liar...after all MOST of the women who make accusations like this are lying." Sometimes truth is a hard pill to swallow, isn't it, girls?

Do you even read my posts? I actually believe women who have actually been raped should report it. If they are telling the truth they will get the help they need and see the rapist brought to justice. If you are a woman and claiming to be raped but refuse to report it and take it to court it kind of shoots your credibility all to heck. The fact of the matter is there's no excuse for not reporting it when women have all sorts of safety nets in this country and the court system and society at large behind them. In my mind you are probably lying about it or atleast fudging the details or not telling the whole story if you don't want to take the case to court. I'm a firm believer in guilty until proven innocent and won't take some woman's story at face value, I want facts and evidence that can be proven in a court of law. Not some hearsay from internet feminists. And the reason I say it's now trendy for women to claim they have been raped is because if you get women on the internet behind the cloak of anonymity suddenly almost all of them have supposedly been raped but it's funny that you almost never hear a peep about it offline when women aren't anonymous. Why is that? Could it be that these women are just attention seekers or feminists trying to further their agendas by spreading lies and won't say anything in day to day life because people they know will call BS on their stories? What other reason could there be? Because any woman who has truly been the victim of rape or any other violent crime simply needs to pick up the phone and call the cops immediately and the matter will be dealt with in short order. That is the way to deal with the issue and it's some simple a caveman could do it... Yet all these women can't even do this one simple thing? And you expect me to believe their stories? I'm sorry but I don't... If they had truly been raped they would have called the cops... If you are telling the truth you have nothing to hide and your story will hold up under scrutiny. IP: Logged |

As women here, I know it`s difficult to choke down a lot of Aquag`s theories and beliefs but lets not give him the power to
take over our better judgements or rule the drama .

I'm sorry but I have to admit this... I laughed my a$$ off. Everything from the word-choice to the structure is just hilarious. Must be that Mercury-ASC conjunction we got going on. You've made a point that many of us must now refrain from voicing because it's okay to hear pro-rape culture remarks like this but trying, even respectfully, to challenge them is apparently rude and unacceptable. It is not rude and unacceptable but necessary to raise a voice against rape!! I suspect the brouhaha was because another Mod of choice is being pushed and this proves the immediate need. ------------------

Also? Where did I say women who lie are the most likely to prosecute? I actually believe the opposite... The liars will refuse to report if but talk about it on blogs and message boards. They blame their refusal to report rapes on "rape culture" which is obvious BS to anyone with half a brain. The women who are actually rape victims will immediately call the cops and the matter will be dealt with. They won't wait months or years and start b*tching about it on the internet. The fact is rape is a sad reality but rape hysteria is feminism's bread and butter and they want you to believe it is more common than it is... In fact they want you to believe that 1 in 4 women have been raped (some argue more). Of course these numbers are taking into account all the alleged unreported rapes and anonymous responses from women, how convenient.IP: Logged |

Unfortunately, seeing what happened on the other thread when all I did was just urge mindfulness is enough to demonstrate some of the politics at play, here, on LL. What you call "necessary" (which I obviously agree with), others find to be rude and offensive and, apparently, the only way to deal with it is to lock the thread.
