My friend had a dream/vision of me shoveling hay in a barn. What could this symbolize?

I'd say that's very positive.
Hay symbolizes success or a profitable business..something along those lines. A barn (full of grain) also signifies prosperity.

You shovelling hay in a barn might mean, you stowing away the rewards you reap..Or that you'll have success in your endeavours and treasure it or put it to good use for the future(?)
