Thank you for your help with locating resources on the Lunar Nodes! Really appreciate it. Next on my list are FIXED STARS-how do you use/interpret them? There's many articles about the cursed 27 Taurus because of Caput Algol, I feel like it's a general interpretation used for forecasting catastrophes that happen. I'm looking for more applications to the natal charts and how it affects the native for life. For instance, how would you interpret a dwarf planet (Chiron, Pallas, Juno, Vesta, Ceres, et all) that happens to sit on one of these fixed star degrees? Would you read for planetary/asteroid conjunctions to these degrees? How wide of an orb would you give it for it to have a noticeable influence? Also bonus random question-I came across a concept of "Earth sign" which is supposed to be the opposing sign + degree of your Sun. Do you even bother with this "Earth" placement when reading? Posting a follow-up: I found a great site and sharing in case no one shared it before: https://www.constellationsofwords.com/Fixedstars.htm Still curious about these fixed stars-do you have any personal planets on them? What's your experience? Personally I have my Moon on Markeb; astrologically this gives me a desire for wide knowledge (true!) and educational work/travels (also true!) IP: Logged |

https://www.constellationsofwords.com/Fixedstars.htm is a great source, one of the main two that I use professionally. My moon conjuncts Hyades which are associated with rains. I have loved rains since birth probably They inspire me and I feel a sort of emotional invigoration when it's raining or just a little stormy. Yes, I'm a Scorpio but I think Scorpio influence's not enough to love the rain like I do. Also, my Venus is 2 degrees away from Spica. I do take such wide orbs for huge stars like Regul, Sirius etc. Spica was thought to be connected with emeralds and it happened to be one of my favorite gemstones. To be honest, I'm very interested in that connection between stars and gemstones. Which corresponds to what? As for Chiron, I have it conjunct with Thuban, orb less than 1 degree. My Dad has Thuban on North Node. What I've noticed is that if we do something bad we have to pay for it immediately, as if we have no right to sin. If I lie, I get revealed at once and the situation is getting even worse. It's exactly the influence of Thuban I read about in an astroencyclopedia. For asteroids and centaurs like Chiron I take orbs depending on their structure. For example, Chiron is over 200 km in diameter plus having rings like Saturn (rings 600 km in diameter), rotates fast - 1 sunrise on Earth = 4 sunrises on Chiron. It very well might be that Chiron has a liquid core and fairly is a planet even though small. For such objects I take an orb of 1 degree. Same for Vesta. For little asteroids - half degree.IP: Logged |

Cthonicstar! Hi, and welcome to Forum. We've had other discussions of Fixed Stars in this Asteroid Astrology forum. There are also other sites (and videos) explaining the meanings behind Fixed Stars. There are several books you could purchase {by Bernadette Brady} on that subject. (I'd love to own those.) - http://www.bernadettebrady.com/books.html - http://www.amazon.com/Bradys-Fixed-Stars-Bernadette-Brady/dp/157863105X - (other book stars conjunct planets is listed in the Amazon suggestions) I have a lot of interference here in my apartment right now, so, I can't participate more deeply in the discussion. MoonMystic is a fan of Fixed Stars too. I've been watching significant things, for a handful of years, concerning the Stars. *~ Pereya. Hello! I have two of the favorable ones in my chart. One is favorable but if you don't act with integrity, you will have misfortune. I have this conjunct Venus. It is Aldebaran. I have another favorable one conjunct my Sun. I think it is Betalguise (sp)------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? I haven't delved very much into fixed stars... the whole black and white fatalistic tradition that they represent doesn't appeal very much to me. Lots of doom and gloom... I like a more nuanced and optimistic view on things. I haven't found many modern reinterpretations of the fixed stars, I might be more into them if there were.Anyway, the most significant fixed star conjunctions in my chart are probably Alhena conjunct Mars (and Mercury/MC, but not as closely) and Zosma conjunct Moon. Alhena seems to be one of the good guys, lol... Indicating intelligence, interest in science, artistic or musical talents, negotiation skills and a love for pleasure and luxury. And that fits I guess. Zosma is more of an issue to figure out. Of the nature of Saturn and Venus... Yeah, that does look like energies that are kind of difficult to merge. Some astrologers associate it eith melancholy, depression, self-centeredness, immorality... but also with an alert and insightful mind. Other keywords put forth by various astrologers include: public shaming followed by some manner of fortune, victim and/or saviour, eccentricity, scandal, destruction of established systems, ability to prophesy, critical but constructive mind, strength in situations demanding hard work... Other people with Moon conjunct Zosma apparently include Madonna, John Travolta, Mama Cass, Andy Kaufman, Elon Musk, and emperor Nero... Which is quite a flamboyant bunch, so I kind of feel at home. I've got Vesta at 24 Taurus- I'm not sure it's close enough to the Fixed star to count, though. I haven't thought about F.S. in ages!IP: Logged | |
