This specifically is focussed upon the conjunction. So, we know to keep them tight; 3°00 maximum. But sometimes I wonder ... I get reports that it's felt up to 4°00°; and in some extreme cases, 4°30! Besides, I've been able to feel the effect up to 4°00 in transits. What's going on here? Perhaps, we could consider expanding applying conjunctions to 4°00 -- even 4°30? The separating, however, might remain snugly at 3°00. (Or 3°30.) What are your thoughts? IP: Logged |

It does work at larger orbs but you have to keep in mind the other planets and aspects...For example: Pluto 12 Leo Mars 18 Leo Saturn 16 Leo Venus 12 Taurus With this configuration it doesn't matter the orb because they are so intense and are interacting with each other. IP: Logged |

It holds up depending on the size of the objects, if there are multiple connected aspects to a planet/luminary/Angle.IP: Logged |

I think it depends on how much the asteroid is significant natally. Some very small bodies can still be felt up to 4° whereas other larger ones will have less impact, even at a tighter orb. 1H astrobodies seem to work well ; 8H too, but not as much as 1H. I suppose it all depends on whether you're a 8H person or not.ETA : Whoops ! I assumed this was a synastry question. Hope it still helps. IP: Logged |

Declination may have a hand in it as well as to how strongly it is felt at 2-5 degrees. ------------------ Seimei, Jupiter Nadir IP: Logged |

I'd like to take my Eros 3'20 to Sun applying it's closer to desc as are all the best asteroids (almost but not quite on sun) & I feel inadequate with those I attract/ed to.seriously though, I do feel that energy is in reach but perhaps not held, accessible but not a consistent, natural energy. Sorry, stupid question (please forgive the rookie):When you guys write about orbs... aren't these degrees >> 3°00?? For asteroids I reduced orbs always to 3% here (astro.com): which of course only gives me those conjunctions within the same degree.

Kind of, on the principle of the order of light. But those are planets. I'm not sure if we can really expand that to asteroids. IP: Logged |
