The movie "Shutter Island" has very clear explanation for trauma and drug based mind control experiments. Te ending is ambiguous, perhaps that is the only way it would have got approval from the censor boards.

Interesting, I'll have to re-watch this!

Speaking of movies, I personally think "The Hunger Games" spell out some pretty obvious ruling elite tactics.. Maybe that's just me though lol most ppl don't seem to think it has any double meanings..
