No Sweetie I don't but I'm sure smoking will irritate it if he smokes.
I have noticed that every September for the last few years now I get sick with the same thing. I will try what you give him. Thanks if you have any other insights please post.

Yin, you are doing the right things, a very good start.

You may want to read the book Your Body's Many Cries for Water, which alleges the most important thing for asthmatics is lots and lots of pure water.

I agree with the water. Chronic dehydration can cause all kinds of problems for the respiratory system. I buy that book by the dozen and give it away to people I treat. They are always shocked to find out how much water they really need. They'll drink almost anything but.

Check all enviromental factors such as pets, dust, mould, stress and of course general health and nutrition. The body needs good nutrition to be able to fight back. It is never normally one vitamin or one mineral because the body does not work like this. It is a combination of things. Make sure pillows and bedding are changed more often than normal.

First I would avoid food additives and especially a colouring agent called tartrazine. Eat plenty of garlic, fresh fruit, veggies and loads of oninons which counteract production of mucus.

Cider vinegar in warm water three times a day is also good. You may add a teaspoon of local honey if you wish.

Massage is good. Lie face down with head lower than chest. Pay special attention to lung points between the shoulders. I do this for kids who have really chronic asthma. I also massage the chest with eucalyptus, juniper and wintergreen oils in a carrier lotion.

Homoepathy

Arsenicum Album is used if breathing is difficult especially at night. If it's breathing made worse by cold or a dry wind, then look for Ipecacuanha.

Good luck.
