Can anyone suggest a natural cure/cures for irritability and exhaustion, especially around period times. Anything herbal/bach flower etc etc would be appreciated. I am so bad at the moment, the sound of someone breathing would distress me. Thanks and appreciative of any suggestions. xxIP: Logged |

Nothing soothes me more than an aromatherapy bath, particularly with a blend of lavender and chamomile oils. I like to turn off the lights, light a couple of candles, turn on a meditation cd or a cd of soothing, healing music, and soak in the bath for an hour.IP: Logged |

Okay.... when thought of this, I also thought.. they won't take me seriously, this is something I typically would say... but seriously...Orgasm. However you must have one, have one. Or more. Also exercise. So basically, have vigorous sex. Take two orgasms and call me in the morning. *seriously... when your Uterus is preparing to shed its lining, there is congestion in the lower body, the hormones prostaglandin increasing, causing irritability and pain.... lots of other reasons... sex/orgasm gets everything flowing. Relieves congestion, increases blood flow and improves mood. Have fun with my prescription. IP: Logged |

Good advice, Pix I've found the same to be true. Sometimes I have very rough PMS. Sometimes I will just cry and cry with no reason. I can be pretty irritable too. For me, though, it is usually better as soon as my period comes... except for the cramping My Midwife told me about Black Cohosh a long time ago. It is very helpful for female hormone stuff... menopause too. I've also read that it can induce lactation. Black Cohosh will also make you go into labor at any stage of pregnancy, so it should be avoided if you intend on becoming pregnant. If there are no babies in your future, give it a try. It helps me a lot. Also, try to avoid sugar and caffeine during these times. The only intensify the issue. IP: Logged |

Helloooo ladies Yup, it's true, make the most of the raised temperature round that time Hey LS - Black Cohosh? I'll look into it. Also I've heard that avoiding wheat helps reduce pain. IP: Logged |

Oh, and miss_apples? I didn't necessarily say "Have sex...." ( although that's pretty rocking too ) I said "Orgasm"
One can play alone or invite their friends .( or just a friend !) IP: Logged |

well you know, sex with other people isnt the only form of sex. I dont feel like the do it yourself method either during that time of the month...lolAlthough Ive heard of people having an orgasm just by imagination with no physical contact of any kind what so ever. That would work. IP: Logged |

Complete B Vitamins decrease Cortisol in the system released by stress through the Adrenal glands. Too much Cortisol which is a hormone, can make you very tense and irritable. It also disturbs sleep and make you gain weight around your middle. B's help the body to excrete it through the urine. Stress if left unchecked can cause high blood pressure, heart disease and even Arthritis. Cortisol in excess is a toxin that causes the fat cells to expand and inflammation in and around the joints. B's support the nervous system and calm you down.Good Luck. Gia IP: Logged |

How about seeing a gynecologist? Or it's not that bad?Orgasms definitely helps like heck. And believe me, girl, you can "do it yourself" even it's that time of the month. Not just orgasms, when you're having sex you should also enjoy the sense of intimacy. A balanced, harmonious sex life makes every day a sunny day. I agree with you, LibraSparkle, sugar and caffein should be avoided during periods, and thanks for the information on Black Cohosh. IP: Logged |
