Recently, I started facing this problem. I have to work on computers almost the whole day. My right hand ring finger is swelled and every day I have to eat 800 mg tyenol and pain is unbearable.

Please suggest, I am wearing hand glove bought from CVS to support my hand. But pain is too much and I have no time to give rest to my hand.

Thank you!

You have repetitive strain injury and it wont get better until you rest it.

In the UK you could get signed off for a couple of weeks on full pay...oh and probably put in a claim.

Sorry sVirgo. I wasn't being flippant there.

We take that sort of thing quite seriously here.

You will have to ask your place of work to put you on other duties until it heals.

I am recently laid off from work. Now, I have to use computer to apply for another job and I am appearing for interviews, and there too I have to go for interview written tests either on computer or paper.

My finger is swelled and red. I took last night amoxillyn and Ibuprofen.

Thank you!

I suffered from Carpal Tunnel as well. I did some research on the web and here are three things that have really calmed it down. (by calmed down I went from waking up in the middle of the night with "dead" arm agonizing pain to just some tingling that I can shake out). The first thing I did was quit Aspartame. Aspartame which is pretty poisonous apparently can excacerbate the symptoms of CTS. Also, I started taking Black Strap Molasses in my coffee every morning (instead of equal). BSM has a ton of minerals and vitamins that help with your body. I also take a tablespoon of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar in water three times a day. Again, more vitamins and minerals and keeps your body at an alkaline state. Which per many people, it is acidity that causes disease in us.

So, my .02 cents, I was really suffering and now I only have problems if I paint or do something strenuous with my wrist. I recommend checking out www.earthclinic.com for more natural remedies.

Thank you!
I will try your suggestions.

I have acidity problem, but since I am taking a herbal tea in night time, it helped me to reduce acidity.

Hey S Virgo,

Good luck with the CTS, hope the suggestions help. Does your problem with acidity cause acid reflux/heartburn issues? If so, I cannot tout the benefits of Apple Cider Vingegar enough. Some people get confused my the misnomer, thinking Vinegar equals acid. However, once ingested, the ACV ash puts your body in alkaline state. I cannot tell you how many people have gotten off the nexium/prilosec by ingesting ACV..it really does cure the reflux. So, if you have reflux or gerd problems, give the ACV a try. Another thing to add to your diet is lemon. Again, confusing, but once the lemon is ingested, it becomes alkaline. I put lemon in my water all day, and helps with any acid food I might eat.
Good luck! I am all about holistic medicine and natural cures, I have an inherant distrust of chemicals and processed food and big pharmaceutical claims. As much organic whole food as possible, try to ditch all processed food, it's really scary what's in.

K, officially off the soap box now, thanks for letting me share:-)
