So, I noticed this with my chart + the chart of my kids (boy + girl). I'm a Virgo Sun + my MC is in Sagittarius [my mother is a Sag. Sun]My son's MC is in Gemini (I'm a Virgo Sun, both ruled by Mercury..so makes sense). He's a Virgo Sun + ASC, so MC can't be Virgo as well, lol. My daughter is also a Virgo Sun + MC is in Libra with Virgo right next to it - pretty close, heh. I tested this with some other people, and it seemed accurate for the most part. If they had for example a Pisces/Sag MC I would ask if their mother was a Pisces or Sagittarius since they are both ruled by Jupiter. I just wanted to know if anyone else's has been accurate? MC = Mother's Sun sign? (of course not all of the time, but I'm assuming for the most part). ------------------

I never thought that way.whew!I checked my mom's chart.its really different from my chart.Lol but i checked my older sister's chart too.
My mom's sun sign is scorpio,my sister's MC starts with scorpio,also my sister's moon is in scorpio.

No, but the most significant surrogate in the family was a Capricorn.(My Aunt.) Always been closer to the older members of my family as well. Very Saturnish in nature. IP: Logged |

I have a mercury/venus dominant chart. My first son has His MC in Taurus 3 degrees away from my venus. My other two children have gemini MCs the sign of my sun. My MC is in Pisces. My father is a Pisces, but he was the more motherly parent figure. So, I have 2 out of 3 with their MC in the sign of my sun! IP: Logged |

Oh! Yes, I agree with the MC = most dominant parental figure as well =). My mother (she's a Sag Sun) was the one who took care of me the most. My dad is a Scorpio and it's right next to Sagittarius, but yea my mother was the one. My dad is still active in my life, but that has been in the most recent years (after I had kids).So, yeaa! This is actually one of the reasons I think I might have an earlier Gemini Ascendant (27 deg, instead of 29).. It would put my IC/MC axis in Leo/Aquarius - which are the Sun signs of my parents. That being said with Pisces MC/Virgo IC.. it still makes sense, because I have many family members who are Virgos and my mum's AC is probably Virgo (as far as we know). IP: Logged |

My mom has 11th stellium. I'm aqua sun and MC. My sister is aqua moon.My mom however is a virgo with leo MC. She has mercury as final depositor and just a very strong mercury in general. I have aqua MC and my sister has libra MC. Nothing related IP: Logged |

To me,the IC represents the parent that is not all up in your face about achieving something in your life: The so called "lesser" parent who supports or seconds the decisions of the more dominant parent. Which of your two parents is the "less" dominant one? Do they have a strong Solar position? Say Sun conjunct Venus,Mars, Jupiter? Or maybe 5th house ruler is strong or is packed?
