Yes I would say a Karmic relationship - so there might be an exchange of energy that needs to happen to resolve a connection they had in a previous life.

Thanks for your input I’ve read that this could be an indication of marriage. In the Composite chart we have Karma and Vertex in the 7th house. With Vertex conjunct the Descendant.
