So this one has been giving me some intense anxiety over the years!I've had a few experiences with the conjunction in synastry, and even some conjunctions through composites in other cases. The square is rough, too. From what I can tell, from the composite conjunction at least, is that it seems to have a weird back and forth. It's a bit easier to handle in composite than it is in synastry, because at least in the comp- it comes from both sides more evenly! In synastry it tends to be one pushing against the other. Not to say it's always doomed to be awful- but boy is it a stressful one. In synastry, there seems to be a real pressure on or from the Ceres person to care for the Saturn person. To set their boundaries for them, or to just 'fix' the innate rules that Saturn usually has going on. Now ... this could be great if Saturn happens to be unhealthy- and notably PAST the first Saturn return, perhaps. But prior to can be a real doozy because that's when the Saturn person really needs to figure it out for themselves. However, in the composite, this does seem a bit of a 'let me worry about you and tell you all the ways to take care of yourself, damnit' sort of feeling? It almost gives 'let me doctor you' vibes! Or at least that's how I seem to feel it. (And in this case, being in Scorpio- 'let me be your therapist!' or possibly 'please don't be my therapist'). But maybe there is a positive spin on this? Where there can be a health set of boundaries in how much one nurtures the other, while still letting them grow and be their own person (here's side-eyeing Demeter's over-protective Mother gig needing some divine intervention of boundaries for Persephone). Anyone have similar experience? IP: Logged |

I have a wide conjunction of someone’s Ceres conjunct my Saturn. More exact their Ceres conjunct my Neptune. In composite we have sun/Venus/Pluto/Ceres all conjunct within 2 degrees in Scorpio. We both have sun conjunct Ceres in our natal chart. So I think it is a Ceres prominent relationship. Plus he is older. I think he does try to care or is overly concerned for me in what little time we spend together. Are you Saturn or Ceres in synastry? Do you think Ceres is overly involved or caring for the other? Oh wow, that is a lot of Ceres! The composite I've got in mind is similar, too. Ceres/Venus exactly conjunct, right smack on the DC. But Sun, Pluto and Saturn are all very close, also in Scorpio. But the other I am thinking on is Pluto, Saturn and Ceres conjunct in early Scorpio. I have Ceres natally sitting on my DC (and vertex) so I tend to get pinged whenever my Axis lines are lit up (fated feelings and urge to care for, hahaha it's destiny!!), which is conjunct another's Venus (and more loosely their Pluto). However the other way, woof. Their Ceres is right on my Pluto/Sun/Venus stellium. Actually it's right on my Part of Fortune which is right in the middle of it all. Their Uranus is also conjunct my Sun. It's been very Uranian, to say the least. But as for Ceres- I do really feel the urge to care for and dote on, certainly. And they have been quite caring and present during a handful of extremely emotional moments for me (my father's passing, for instance). However on the flip side, I've been Saturn once with someone's Ceres right on top of it, and that was a doozy. They were very forceful and 'authoritative' with their need to take care of me. In some ways they did encourage me to care for myself in new ways, but it became very subconscious aggression when I didn't do as they preferred or responded/acted how they thought I should. Very stressful! That relationship also had squares to my Scorpio stellium from Leo (Moon/Mars/Saturn conjunction for them, oof), and their Sun on my Moon. So there was a lot of that going on. Ohhh yes those squares from the Leo stellium to your Scorpio stellium (especially the Saturn) can be controlling or authoritative. It sounds like a mix of nurturing (Ceres) and controlling (Saturn)? The person I am talking about has their Saturn square my Venus and nodes so it probably manifests similar to how you feel. Ceres seems typically nice but maybe you are right the mix with Saturn it could be weird. Sounds nice where Ceres is placed in your natal! And seems like you are very aware when someone aspects it. Ceres is conjunct my sun/moon conjunction so I think it’s very ingrained in my personality and hard for me to tell when it gets triggered or notice when I feel it.

Ohh, that makes me think. I forgot that in the initial double whammy conjunctions for Ceres case, my Saturn also squares their Nodes (and Pluto). It does sextile their Ceres though, as it does to my Scorpio. Their Saturn also squares my Stellium ... from Leo hahahaha. But they are not very controlling in any aspect. It's a very loose square (more to my Mercury, which has caused communication blocks more than anything). But I suppose since my Nodes are on their MC/IC axis, it somewhat balances out. And yes, I do tend to be really aware of it. My DC trines my NN to the degree (which I guess trines their MC as well, thinking about it). So it's both thrilling to suddenly be pulled to it, but wildly out of my usual groove because I rarely feel it so strongly for some 'one'. It's usually more of a general feeling towards the collective (11th house North Node? haha). I can definitely feel the Ceres vibe from your communication style, even just on the net. It's very sweet!
