i have one more question to ask tonight when dealing with rulerships in astrology, does having the ruler of someones 5th house on your ascendant, or even conjunct your sun have the same effect as if they had their sun/asc in their 5th house? to me it seems so. cause thats the planet that literally rules over that house, so why would it not act as though you had your sun/asc in that persons 5th house.. if its conjunct their 5th house ruler i wonder the same for all the houses actually. except with the 8th house, i wonder if having your 8th house ruler conjunct someones moon could make you obsessed. or feel that 8th house compulsive pull that comes with having someones moon actually situated in your 8th house i feel also 8th house matters can bring repulsion, cause of the nature of scorpio. something that makes you viscerally uncomfortable or offended (taboo) so maybe contacts to someones 8th house ruler, like maybe a square, can bring a compulsive need to dislike you. that one person that constantly wants to talk about how much they dislike the stuff you do just wondering how rulers play out in synastry IP: Logged |

Your logic is correct. A planet in the natal chart of person A acts like an additional planet in the natal chart of person B (and vice versa). So, if A's Sun falls in the 5th house of B's natal chart, it is akin to the latter's own Sun falling in the 5th house. In essence, A's Sun has the effect of progressed/transit Sun to B's natal chart. I have not previously considered the logic of A's Sun ruling Leo and (thus) the 5th house of B's natal chart. ... It does seem valid (but needs testing) - and if it works that way for the Sun, it will do so for all planets. __________________________________________________________________ Bear in mind that, although transit planets are always at the same zodiac degree for everyone, they carry a different message/lesson for two people born in the same place and on the same day but at different times. ... So, the Sun of person A is carrying a different message/lesson/natal-promise to that of person B.

It's stronger and more immediate when the one person's Planet is actually in the person's House but yes, one definitely does notice the affairs of the House of the ruler when in conjunction with another's important/sensitive point. In a hypothetical example, Person A.'s Sun in person's B.'s 5th, will be a bit more immediate and stronger in focus than person's A.'s Sun conjunct say person's B.'s Mars--ruler of the 5th. In the latter case, 5th House matters will definitely come up and be noticed, but not quite as much as in the 1st case. At least, that is what I have noticed. The House that the Mars-Sun conjunction actually takes place in, will usually be at the forefront, with a strong background of 5th House as well as the House that corresponds to the Sun for the other person. Synastry is amazingly complex (a tremendous amount of information to synthesize) and it's very hard to read it very well, properly, and accurately. But like with natal charts, look for repeating and underlying patterns, as often these can be noticed. IP: Logged |
