What if the 7th ruler is NOT ASPECTED but the 7th house planets are? Can 7th house planets especially involving the sun or moon make up for the 7th ruler?

What's your opinion?

My girlfriends 7th ruler which is Mars is widely CONJUNCT my sun within 5 degrees of orb APPLYING. However her sun in the 7th house is conjunct my moon in the 7th house exact! Im worried that she may fall out of love for me because in the progressed synastry her 7th ruler is tightly conjunct my progressed sun but as soon as her ascendant moves into scopio it will no longer be ASPECTED anymore.

The 7th house ruler is important in synastry, but if a partner puts their planets in your 7th house and aspects other planets in your chart with those planets, this can substitute. The partner's planets aspecting natal planets in your 7th house from elsewhere can help as well. But not as much as overlaying planets in the 7th, with aspects to other parts of our chart.

Another thing that can help with a lack of aspects to the 7th house ruler are aspects to Venus. Aspects to Venus give affection and attraction, similar to how aspects to the 7th house ruler do. To a lesser extent strong aspects to the asteroid Juno can help with this as well.

Also, conjunctions to the 7th house ruler are amazing, but a sextile to the 7th house ruler may be all that's needed if other factors point to a strong attraction.

His 7R and my 7R are conjunct.

We, however, are far, far from it.

I activate my husband's 7th house ruler/angle with my venus-mars. He has Mars-Uranus-DC in scorpio and my venus-mars square it. His chiron trines my Mercury, the ruler of my 7th.

We have been together for a long time, 9 years almost, and love each other a lot but I never experienced that euphoria of falling deeply in love with him. Perhaps having Valentine conjunct Saturn in composite has made this a very sober process for better or worse.

The love is there and strong no doubt but when I think of a undeniably romantic deep love I think of my ex. His AC conjuncts my 7th house ruler and opposes my MOON which conjuncts my IC and rules my 8th and my MOON conjuncts his DC angle and squares his DC ruler, his IC angle and his vertex as well as my southnode.

But you can't live like that worrying about your partner falling out of love, I feel that is the quickest way to attract for the relationship to end. You have to enjoy each day you are with them and trust she will be around for a long time.

With my ex our IC angles and or rulers and DC angles and or rulers are heavily aspected by both sides.

This makes me wonder if a lack of tight aspects to the 7th house ruler from planets or angles (and not just asteroids), indicates that you won't feel so madly in love.

hypatia238, apart from what you've already mentioned, do you and your husband share any strong Venus aspects. I know your Venus squares his Asc/Dsc, but are there any other Venus based connections between you? Does he have any planets in your 7th, and or vice versa?

I've always thought that the 7th house gives the feeling that someone is our 'ideal', and that we're 'completed' by them in some way. This type of idealization is not important for everybody though. The love that comes from familiarity and long term attachment is also a very powerful thing.

Well in addition to my Venus squaring his Mars-Uranus-DC yes we have other venus action; his Venus-Isis conjuncts my Venus-Mars. He does embody an ideal of love to me surely, I always wanted a persistent guy who would fight for me no matter what and I feel his venus in Leo conjunct his Isis is why he is that way. To be fair he does satisfy an ideal and that is definitely an important part of the reason why we are together!

OMG yes his Moon falls in my 7th house, my DC is in Gemini and his moon in cancer but it falls in my 7th and conjuncts my Isis. Also his Psyche conjuncts my Northnode in my 7th. Again a theme of persistence with his Psyche in my 7th.

My Psyche conjuncts his Mars-Uranus-DC! so we both have Psyche in each other's 7th houses and an Isis doubly whammy you can say (moon-isis, venus/mars-isis).

My chart ruler Jupiter-Uranus fall in his 7th house and inconjuncts his Moon which sextiles and completes a YOD with my Juno.

we have asc conjunct 7th house ruler double whammy..his asc conjunct my 7th house ruler and my asc conjunct his 7th house ruler..in addition we have asc-desc conjunction and an opposition between our 7th house rulers
i have all of my personal planets in his 7th and 8th and in his secondary 8th and 5th
he has nothing in my love houses apart from his saturn in my 8th(also secondary 5th) but i'm madly in love with him never felt something like this before..i'm drawn to him
so i guess 7th house rulers are highly important as well

So is it the ASC person that feels it more when it is conjunct someone's 7th ruler? Or the other way around? As in, seeing them as an ideal.

I feel the one whose 7th ruler is the one that feels it the most then the ASC. I feel it is both that feels actually but the one that is acting out the planet will be indeed the planet owner.

Just want to add,

The 7th house ruler feels the Asc person is 'ideal', but the Asc (or planet) person can feel sweetness and appreciation coming from the 7th house ruler person.

The most amazing 7th ruler connection ever had;

My 7th ruler (neptune) exactly quincunx his Sun.
His 7th ruler (neptune) exactly quincunx my Sun.

= Composite Sun/Neptune opposition by minutes.

And that was about it 7th ruler & house wise.

^^I'm curious about this too. Sun-Neptune oppositions in composite are something I want to learn more about.

As for us, my 7th ruler Venus is trine his ascendant, opposite his Sun and trine his Valentine exact... it's also trine composite moon, trine c. Chiron, sextile chart ruler Uranus and opposite Mars, forming the missing leg in a composite Star of David..

His 7th ruler, Jupiter, is right at the junction of a whole bunch of significant midpoints of mine, as it is semi-sextile both my Moon-Neptune and my Mercury-Pluto conjunctions. It is also at my Sun-Saturn and Sun-Uranus midpoints.

His Jupiter is square my North Node exact, which I guess is kind of a big deal.

Otherwise I don't aspect it heavily; it is conjunct my Psyche and my anti-vertex by 3 degrees. Sometimes I wonder if this is enough.

Interestingly his Draconic Jupiter/Uranus fall on my natal South Node.

I think also about my own Jupiter conjunct his Venus; sometimes I hear astrologers referencing the natal 7th ruler/chart ruler in the other chart (ie my Jupiter, his Venus) as being significant too.

Well, the only negative is that we both were pretty much inclined to offer the other some unrealistic hope, just because we didn't want to hurt each other. That's basically ofcourse very sweet but also leads to a certain level of mistrust when it's simply impossible to meet all those offers. In the best case a matter of time as all you DON'T wanna do is hurt the other party.

I go with Magi-astrology that Neptune rules longevity and anything that has to do with the long term, including true love and long-term relationships. It represents creativity, inspirations, and whatever inspires and ofcourse sensitivity and gentleness. Neptune is also the planet of youthfulness and being young at heart, spirit, and body.
For example their research has proven that a natal Sun/Neptune linkage bestows youth and longevity to the native. When you look at people with those aspects it's indeed amazingly noticeable. The oldest people on earth often seem to have had this natally.

i understand how that feels, i have the quincunx in synastry as well but with sun/moon/venus. I'm the moon. i feel a lot of neptune/sun connections in synastry no matter the aspect kind of always seems to bring that unrealistic hope or that promise but not quite being able to fulfill that promise kind of exactly what you were saying.

For example, i noticed when I'm the moon in a sun/moon synastry aspect i always seem to feel like i have to support the sun no matter the aspect but that's just my experience. i always feel vulnerable in a sun/moon synastry combo as ME as the moon.
