For the most part when I am around them they are very excited and usually tease me in a playful way (I don't mind it). When I miss a day or I come late they get sad (not in a water placement kind of way). They will say things like you don't want to see me anymore or I thought I would never see you again. They constantly try to get a reaction out of me in one way or another. Not like an angry reaction but like a playful one. They say things like, "I tease you like a boy teases a girl in school that they like, it just means I like you." Then a few minutes later they said, "but not in that way". (I am totally cool with them just liking me as a friend).

When I finally gave them my phone number they made a comment that we were almost like real friends now, then they started texting me. Most of our interactions are like this, very playful and friendly. Usually when they see me too they go out of their way to say hi and tease me a little. They are very observant when it comes to me too. They notice when I do my hair differently or change something about my appearance, etc. They've even asked me to hang out with them, but unfortunately the even they wanted me to attend with them was cancelled, so we never hung out.

My confusion comes from a few times when I have been around them, they seemed indifferent. Like they don't completely ignore me, but they purposely go out of their way to pay attention to others in the group. They've only done this maybe three times in 6 months we've known each other.

We haven't actually became friends yet, at least I don't think we are. My intuition is telling me they really want to be friends.

I know this sounds really dumb, but everything I have read about Sagittarius' says they are very playful people (which is awesome), but I can't tell if this person really wants to be friends (I'm not sure I want to be anything more than that, at least not right now) or if this is who they are and I shouldn't get too invested in their behavior.

My struggle comes from the fact that Pluto just left my 11th house where it spent the last 13 years. So EVERY person that I ever felt wanted to be my friend, it never ended well. I've met many Sagittarius in my life (I attract a LOT of them, they are actually really cool people) and I have never had one act like this towards me.

I also don't understand the "distancing" every once in a while. I get everyone has bad days and moods, but they didn't seem in a bad mood, they just seem like they are distancing themselves from me personally. (That could also just be my Cancer sun taking things personally LOL).

I've just never met a Sagittarius who acts like this person does. I actually questioned if their birthdate was correct, because when I did their chart, I was certain they had a water moon or venus or something water in their chart. They seem emotional and I'm actually not the only one who notices that from them. I've never met an emotional Sag. I know they have feelings but I've never seen them act like this before.

Basically, they have:
Sagittarius Sun
Capricorn Moon
Sagittarius Mercury
Sagittarius Venus
Libra Mars

Their Mars is at 29 degrees Libra and it falls directly into my 8th house as well as their Vertex. Their moon also trines my moon and mars. Their North Node conjuncts (exactly) my moon and mars and my North Node conjuncts their Moon. Their Venus also sits exactly on top of my MC. We also have Eros conjunct Psyche and their Juno is conjunct my Pluto. We also have Sun, Mercury and Venus conjunct in Composite with a 2 degree orb. We have North Node conjunct moon in Composite as well.
