After the age of 36, the planet Saturn matures and isn’t as heavy to exchange, rather has been incorporated. Until then, the externalized lessons could go either way

Thank you vansio. Is 36 the average age? I find myself unccomfortable with strong Saturn contacts and at that age.

The year 35-36 is the peak. Usually marks for an event related to the planet. In your case, placed in the 6th House. Take care of your health; work for dharma ; respect subordinates

I follow sidereal zodiac for more of a clue: http://youtu.be/6FpppQ0FmAI

As for synastry versus composites, soft aspects are passive energy (doesn’t incite external action)

With my ex, I had the same exchange as yours, (tropical) his IC Ruler Saturn conjunct my DC. I did too much to make the relationship work, grew resentful. Overall, I honestly didn’t know how to leave the relationship (stuck), so eventually he left me, during his Saturn return on my DC, in a cruel way. You’re beyond that major cycle, though nonetheless assuming whatever “commitment” currently represents is probably at the forefront of your sense of relating

I was involved with his family (especially grandparents), I guess one could say he brought his fourth house to my seventh

With your Saturn on his AC Ruler, you have more control over him than you realize, especially his outlook of the world. I also had my Saturn trine my ex’s Venus.

Saturn conjunct Mars sucks sexually, but marriages aren’t about sex. Fighting him is futile

In composite we only had soft aspects from Saturn, trine Sun, sextile Moon

Can I ask do you keep in contact with your ex after the break up?

Well, no, I was devalued and discarded. I didn’t realize (the signs were there) that he was a narcissist until much later. Never heard from him again (2018), though he tortured me remotely through the aftermath, for years after, discreetly. Even this year, he made a series of paintings for an exhibition that specifically referenced the time when we first got together in 2015; a picture of my socks that were on the floor. https://imgur.com/a/HLGFUBA

I was, apparently still am, a supply of sorts. Not a compliment when from a coward.

At this point, after fully processing grief, the whole experience is laughable. Thank god.

I agree all significant relationships are soulmates, with lessons to bear.

Can I ask what do you mean by I have more control? Do I bring him more responsibilities? Or is it the same kind of control as Pluto? Is it because its my 7H ruler making it more potent?

Something to do about his development. Saturn (karma) is structural, Venus is perception, combined is appreciation (value). It being your 7th House Ruler makes it personal. Nothing like Pluto, though you have much of that in composite.

thank you for sharing this Vansio. I had no idea the relationship had a twist. Is it safe for me to say you're brave? He sound like someone who carries low levels of empathy and that's sick.

We have a close Cancer rising sign. Though in my chart, I’ve got Neptune and Uranus in the 7th. How does Pluto influence your love life? Transit Pluto also departed your 7th House, hoorah.

♥️ Thanks for your description. I can relate to the dreamlike nature of relating to others. We wake up from abstract dreams each morning, looking back, or around, wondering who, what, where, or whether

I’m glad to hear you walked away from whatever doesn’t nourish you. Faith is an incredible power, that should be reserved for the immaterial. The instinct for forgiveness can begin to seem artificial and compensatory when it’s hasn’t been returned to self, when we don’t release ourselves. At least, that’s what I struggle with
