Or is it just me, bc I have my NN in 7th house, so all my relationships happen to be fated in some way.

My question is related to the synastry only.

Every relationship or affair or even brief fling i entered so far, me and that person always had major angle/planet contacts to the SN/NN. With major contacts I mean at least a conjunction to either SN or NN , sometimes it’s a DW, oftentimes it’s not only a conjunction but also trines.

For example their Asc conj my SN
My Moon conj their SN and my Venus+Mars trine their NN.

I never entered a fling without nodal contacts.
I’ve had a crush on someone, but we had no nodal contacts and that crush never materialized.

Of course I’m not getting in a relationship with everyone I have nodal contacts with, but the people I have been intimate with, always happened to be people I have Node contacts with. It’s the one major signifier in every fling and long term relationship.

Is this always the case, with everyone?

Another significant marker I noticed in relationships, is composite vertex being either in 7th or 8th house. Never in 5th or 6th house.

With my first boyfriend, I have my NN/SN conjunct his moon and his NN trine my moon. We were meant to meet and I was meant to pay the karmic debt. It was the most karmic, painful and s-h-i-tty relationship one could ever experience in their life. In our composite, the vertex is in the 6th house. I was with him for about 4 years, it was 4 years of hell.

With my second boyfriend, I have my NN/SN square his venus and his NN/SN conjunct my moon. I saw red flags in this person since the beginning we met but I overlooked all the red flags in him. It wasn't total a s-h-i-tty relationship, we had both good and bad times but in the end he cheated on me so...yeaaa. We were together for almost 2 years. And again in our composite, the vertex is in the 6th house.

Seems like nodal contacts ARE common because we ARE healing the past and completing karma / completing our own and each other's stories. It makes sense that our most intimate relationships would give us an opportunity to do this, right?

That said, I def don't think it has to be abusive or traumatic with the nodes... that's the result of everything else combined, in addition to each individual's charts/personalities/karmic paths, I'd say

There are conjunctions with my ex in synastry but only if I use a very wide orb. My Moon conjunct his south nod (orb 5 degrees), his Mars/Saturn conjunct my south node (orb 5 degrees). There are other tight aspects though, my Jupiter sextile/trine his nodes and his Ascendant square my nodes, all within 1 degree.

Composite Vertex is in the 6th house. We’re no longer together but it was a very significant relationship. We were together for 14 years. There were other strong astrological indicators pointing to karma. A lot of angle contacts in synastry but also my draco Ascendant conjunct his draco Descendant. There is no doubt in my mind our relationship was fated. But I do believe that we all have our own journey and for some the lessons of the nodes come mainly through nodal contacts with others and for some it’s contacts to the angles or vertex or house rulers.

I have my north node in the 2nd house and I’m learning about my value and building an independent life. But I have a Libra Rising, my 7th house ruler conjunct Saturn squaring my 7th house Chiron. Even though my soul’s journey is focused on myself, there is a need for healing through relationships with others. I already know that my romantic connections will be very limited and likely related to karma, because Saturn points to restrictions and karmic lessons. I think significant synastry all depends on our own natal chart and karmic lessons. I do have a lot of nodal contacts with friends, so there is energy there just not from my romantic contacts so far.
