I have a cancer moon so it is opposite an entire generation of folks with capricorn uranus (my own uranus is at the verrry end of sag, so I do not have this aspect natally).

Everywhere online it says this is a relationship killer, that the uranus person will always feel trapped and detached... but what if I had been a taurus, pisces or scorpio moon? In emotional expression, those moons are similar to a cancer and need similar things to feel secure, but would sextile or trine a cap uranus... then why is it SO deadly for my cancer moon??

anything opposition represents energy that is othered, projected. risk-taking is a better word than deadly.

I have the square.. I know it's not the same thing but fairly similar.

I am always attracted to people who are emotionally unavailable and unreliable lol. Or I am the emotionally unavailable/ unreliable one. & if I do meet someone where our energies flow and are in sync, something always pulls us apart.. whether it's Pluto and/ or a transit.

I'm assuming the opposition produces similar effects except it's a little easier to handle. I would rather pivot between points (opposition) than just blatantly stuck in between trying to find a resting point (square).

Make peace with erratic, unpredictable energy. If you see someone pulling away, don't fight it. Pull the other way. They'll either come towards you or you'll break the chain and go your own way. Most of us with hard Uranus aspects always feel the need to run after the person/ situation which is the cause of our grief, discomfort.

Nahh. It CAN be chaotic, but it will always, always be a person to person basis.

Uranus speaks about how each generation views change and innovation- doing things differently than their predecessors. Being opp the Moon means that change can sometimes be at odds with the emotional needs, and a balance needs found.

The phrase 'Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater' though dark, comes to mind. Change is good, but change at the expense of the emotional gravity of things (ie sweeping change that benefits one person/specific group, yet can make difficult or outright harm another person/group) will always end poorly.

I could have some bias, as I have a loose opposition to my early degree Capricorn Uranus and late degree Gemini Moon (and Uranus opp the IC next to the Moon) -- This is a constant challenge. Being aware of what needs to happen, but sometimes struggling to find how to navigate the ocean of emotion in the process.

For relationships, the same can stand. Millennials with their Uranus in Cap have an affinity for pushing back against the Cancerian energy, specifically wanting to undo the Silent Gen/Boomer age range that has structured our reality and refused to budge from it's protective, 'post-war' behaviour. The inclination is to crack that shell wide open for better or worse- which can be painful for Cancer moons who may have insight we miss.

I have my Moon opposing my boyfriends Uranus.
I don't think he is emotionally unavailable, but he does not seem to know how to meet my emotional needs. So I can be open and honest with how I'm feeling about things, or how certain situations affect me. He listens, but he doesn't seem to know how to 'be there' for me.
I will say that this opposition has provided some excitement from my end.. I am excited to talk to him about anything and everything- just the response can be abit cold or aloof or different to what I expected.
I don't hold it against him though haha

I was Uranus in a opposition once, both Cancer moons. How it affected me was that it made me very unpredictable with him and unstable in my mood towards him but i also feel he triggered that on/off energy in me with his behavior. I felt trapped but more so for having feelings for someone whom i had a very toxic relations with rather than by any closeness. I think it depends what else is going on between the people involved and what Moon and Venus and anything those two planets does in the Uranus person chart. If the Uranus person has more of a Watery chart in their natals i don’t think they would be so put off by letting someone get close to them. And also If the Uranus person also has their Saturn activated by the other person then they will probably be more committed and serious about the relationship.
