This relationship was very Neptunian and unrequited. I was delusional about him - his Neptune is conjunct my Venus exact 0a. He was awful

I'm sorry about this, Emily I was about to say that probably Venus/Pluto in Scorpio is the hater, because there's a tendency for Scorpio Venus to love deeply, hate deeply. With Pluto, even more... But in this synastry, the outside person is disfavored. His personal planets (Venus, Mars) are not sufficiently aspected to sustain a long term interest Too bad about the mystic rectangle. His planets fall on your angles, there was an initial powerful interest perhaps (from his side) but astrologically, he apparently needs a different kind of partner, you too. There was perhaps a good physical relationship and he felt like family to you or there was something familiar about him. Your Venus on his Neptune shows a lot of idealization from your part and a bit of obsession with your Pluto there. But his Saturn opposes your Moon and squares your Venus there, they say this sometimes shows love rejected, love refused or ended. Oh I agree 100%. I just wanted it to work so bad and ignored all the red flags. We have no real compatibility or chemistry. My issue is when I'm in love with someone I turn into a doormat where normally I'm a very defensive person. The rejection is something I can deal with but he humiliated me unnecessarily and used my feelings to his advantage

Don't worry about that Everybody creates his/her own future with the things he does to others. Don't waste your time with resentment. Show yourself and him that you rise above and continue your pursuit of happiness, with or without him

It's taken almost 3 years for the Neptune fog to dissipate. I no longer see him in that idealized light thankfully. I reflect back to all the cruel things he did and said that I took because I was too blind. Now I'm dealing with those Scorpio emotions and just trying to forgive myself. I agree that resentment is not the way to go. I find myself lost in all these revenge fantasies that I wouldn't actually act on (Libra mars) lol. It does motivate me to pursure my goals and happiness, more so because he never believed in me.

Eh. It happens. There's a lot of opposition in the composite. Sometimes, those can become activated with progressions and transits. I'm becoming intrigued with progressed synastry in respect to the natal composite to best understand certain points in a relationship -- good and ill. IP: Logged |

They're energies which are constantly seeking resolution; it's the push-pull. The more energies are in opposition in a composite, the more the couple is seeking to bring into synthesis or union.
