Topic: He acts interested and then doesn't follow through

This is a synastry chart between me and a guy that I've known for a while. Back in the day, I fancied him, but he said he was on playing the field and not settling down. Years passed and when I finally saw him again, he was asking about my relationship status etc. we have started talking again and it seems that everytime we get closer... He pulls away or says that he is scared of hurting me; because he is not ready for a relationship. This is all good and well, but then I find out that he has spoken to a mutual friend about me - telling her how good of a person I am. How he doesn't want to hurt me, but wants to get to know me. When I've confronted him about it, again... He pulls away.As per usual, there are a few oppositions and squares *sigh* but what would explain his pull towards me and then his pull away? Notes: I am on the outside.
His TOB is unknown (12pm used)

just too many major planets in libra. it's that famous indecisiveness and changing their mind all the time. it's not a good synastry imo, and he'd always be that way - highly indecisive... weighing options, revisiting things he thought he made his mind up on, etc. you don't know his tob but depending on what house those libra planets fall into for him his focus could be elsewhere. i don't think it's you, it's his own personality causing the dynamic. Uranus/Neptune is VERY active, harshly. Delusions, need for independence and freedom. Need for space.
His Uranus to your mars, square.
Opposition I don't see in such a bad way. It's opportunity for growth from each other.
Moon square Saturn is extremely difficult. This very likely could be his worry of hurting you. Saturn causes guilt even if not justified and restrictions placed on his emotional expression. Saturn can also cause roadblocks from completely external circumstances.
Actually dw I think you have. Several other things.
I'm sorry, I never say impossible but I think this will be a very very difficult one to get of the ground and if it happens, difficult to deal with and maintain. IP: Logged |

Thanks for your responses guys, funnily enough... I've just taken a look at his chart. TOB still unknown, but I've never seen SO many squares and oppositions in my life - I do think his personality definitely plays a part here. I know both personalities do in synastry, but... WOW.  IP: Logged |

Maybe that's why he grates on my nerves, I'm quite fiery lol. His Moon (libra) is opposite my moon (Aries). I'm more of a go getter. He seems to take forever; probably weighing things up lol IP: Logged |

His TOB is unknown so his moon could be in Scorpio which would make a much more complicated person.
Anyway, I know someone who was born a few days after this guy with the same t-square and stelliums. Very very indecisive! I've also known a few other Mars-sun conjunction in Libra in different generations and even with the Pluto conjunct sun to add, they all are very indecisive.
The Saturn square to sun is very damaging for a weak Sun/Mars like libra so Self esteem issues might be present. Plus the Uranus and Neptune square add this need to be grand. I have a grand cross synastry with another libra and it's quite painful because Venus in Scorpio takes a long time and if his moon is in Scorpio, you are gonna have to play by ears for a while. If his moon is in Libra, then oh well he'll be very very indecisive
I am also an Aries moon but my Mars is in Capricorn but your Aries Mars probably just want to get out there. IP: Logged |

Be friends. Don't approach a relationship with this man. If you still are acquainted after his first Saturn Return, it might be a different story. I'll examine things for a karmic basis between you, but my sense is that you'll want to steer clear and allow him to grow, in any case. Can I firstly say a big thank you to everyone who took the time to reply to this thread.I post many charts on this part of the forum, because I tend to meet a lot of guys. Yet, in true Venus opposite Pluto fashion; a number of them don't turn out as I expect. With this particular guy, again, I feel he handled a situation incorrectly and this annoyed me and now, we are not talking. Aubyanne, you're right about the runaround; the only confusion I feel is when the runaround isn't classic. I have no problem with rejection (I've learned to accept that), but what I dislike immensely is when someone is half in and half out. Fair enough, that should be all the information I need (i.e. If they are not all in, then they are out) but I actually find that a little annoying. If he wasn't interested in my, even as a friend, why he would talk to my friend about me is beyond me. He should keep my name out of his mouth and limit his interactions with me on. Anyway, he has once again shown me that he an unserious character and I have stabbed that situation in the bud lol. I'm not ruthless, but when it comes to dishonesty and my time... I have little, very little tolerance!
