grand trines in synastry without saturn aspects promise longevity? even with pluto/mars/venus in the grand trines? or is saturn absolutely necessary? and astrology is never the end all be all?

Please share some thoughts.

Oh I don't think Saturn is always necessary... everybody has different needs at different times... certainly it lends the weightiness which helps us go "out of our way" for somebody, to feel responsible for them...

That said, have you looked at Saturn by house in the synastry? Are there planets in Capricorn? What about Saturn in the composite?

Astrology is not the end all be all. Grand trines are great for stability, emotionally speaking...

Thing to remember in all relationships is the love something set it free thang, it'll fly around you and bring you joy and you can fly too and keep up if you like, swirling and twirling--ultimately I am thinking we are all in a great dance back to the primal unity, and you and the other are already one on a fundamental level, and clinging to and fear of outcomes only cloud our vision of the essential peace and great mysterious gift of life...
