I had been seeing an older man, but as he does not know his TOB, obviously house overlay and the axis could not be determined. Is it still worth reviewing interaspects between planets without the other information? It was whirlwind before he suddenly became distant, so naturally I look to his natal and transits but again I don't have the full picture. I don't have great access to my intuition, so despite the fated feeling, it feels unfinished. Maybe it's the Venus and merc rx at the moment. Maybe he's just emotionally unavailable. But can you tell enough anyway without birth time to get a good gist?

Normally, no, because the ASC that he has determines what kind of life he has, what kind of partner he prefers. The Sun/Moon in what house they reside, shows what is his main focus in life, as well as the ruler of the ASC.But, if there's no other way... you can look at the natural significators for each area of life, but it's not going to be as accurate as having the ASC also. Venus for relationships Moon for nurturing and mother relationship Sun for authority and father Saturn idem as above etc... Look online for what each planet represent naturally and make an assesment from there. In the end, they have the final word in analysing the chart. If the 7th house looks good, but Venus is badly placed, there will be a mix regarding relationships and usually the natural significator has more influence. Again, with the ASC, you could find out that Sun represent the wife if it rules the 7th, for example, so you don't actually know with accuracy without having the ASC. The synastry could be good between you two, but if he has an ASC that is incompatible with yours, you two could have different love languages and there's a fundamental clash. Having incompatible ASC is not a deal breaker (as in earth with air, or water with fire, etc), but if the 7th house doesn't resonate with you in some shape or form, or your 7th house with him, it is a deal breaker. So without the ASC, you don't know what his 7th house looks like and no matter what the other synastry aspects are - it could be perfect - it's not going to work out. IP: Logged |

The synastry analysis doesn't stop on ASC/Sun/Moon connections which are fundamental for knowing if there's potential, or better said, if you met the person that is for you.If someone has a chart signature very different from the other person, again there's a clash. For example, meeting someone in your 20s. He has a Saturn conjunct ruler of 5th and the other person has Jupiter conjunct the ruler of 5th. Is basically showing that they are not one for the other because the first is going to have his children after 30 and the other before 30. IP: Logged |

I agree with mee_chryssa.I have met people with whom I had terrific synatries. The proverbial conjunctions or trine of Mars/Venus, Venus/Pluto, Mars/Pluto, Sun/Venus, NN/Venus etc... And while there was an initial attraction, these relationships fizzled without actually deepening. I didn't know their TOB and I can only surmise that whatever their ascendant were, we didn't activate each other's 7 houses. IP: Logged | |
