It says that this is a karmic link is that true?

Anything conjunct SNODE tends to have karmic implications, yes. It doesn't make a karmic relationship, per se.

MARS conjunct SNODE in synastry isn't my favourite, though. It tends to indicate some karmic strife, violence, and general discontent. That isn't necessarily gone here, either.

Mars on any Node in synastry usually ends up being volatile. Not a fan, myself.

Including the transit of Node to the Mars.
