I do think that the natal chart is a good tool for this, but it's also complicated to predict timing of these things correctly--there are so many layers, house placement of ruling planet, etc. Timing of marriages and pregnancies will show up in different charts in different ways, I think. When I got pregnant, tJupiter was transiting my 5th house. When I gave birth, tJupiter was conjunct my chart ruler.
A good astrologer looking artistically and holistically at the chart in a nuanced way can tell based on the natals what kind of marriage and children you're likely to have--but each aspect and dynamic can play out in so many different ways. IP: Logged |

So what to do if 5th and 7th houses are empty (which I read somewhere are used to analyze the chart since they are the relationship houses, and also the 11th). I don't have anything going on in those 2 houses And my 11th only has Venus and Mars in it.Would progressive chart be used? IP: Logged |

I would look to the house rulers of those houses, and then pay attention to transits to those planets.IP: Logged |

The progressed Moon will almost certainly be making a significant conjunction to an angle or some very important personal point or midpoint in the natal chart at the time of marriage. It depends on the nature of the marriage and the relationship, which aspect this will be... The progressed Sun/Moon midpoint is an even better timer. I'm writing about using this midpoint as a potent timer at the moment. It's actually incredible... Solar Arcs are an excellent tool for timing, as they allow you to look many years in advance in a short time. You'll find significant aspects from Solar Arc-natal at significant times in your life. Hard aspects mostly seem significant. Certain midpoints are indicative of childbirth, and would be active by transit/progression... either transiting planets = natal midpoints or progressed midpoints = natal planets, etc. There are many combinations... I can't remember what the midpoints are at the moment though and am not near enough my reference books to tell you! Venus/Uranus midpoint will be active at the time of conception though, I can personally verify this claim of Ebertin's... IP: Logged |

Thank you for your input, yungang!! What is Solar Arcs?? I've never heard of such a chart type before... And since I am not knowledgeable in astrology, I am not even sure what midpoints are. Would you be so kind to take a look at my progressed chart below and see if there is anything you can tell me about it? The reason why I posted my original inquiry was because I've become very discouraged in ever fining a life partner, getting married, having a family, etc. To the point where I am feeling like completely giving up on having all those things. I am about to turn 38 and don't even have a man at this point who would make me want to explore a possibility of a potential relationship. Thank you in advance!! PS I was married once at 20. Divorced at 24 (wanted to mention it in case if you see that in the chart). IP: Logged |

Well.. solar arcs are simple. Depending on what time of year you were born the number will differ slightly but it's mainly a matter of progressing your entire chart one degree per year of life. You're about to turn 38 so your Solar Arc or SA North Node is about to be conjunct your Midheaven because your MC is 38 degrees away. You see? When things are activated especially nodes and angles like that we can expect to see SOMETHING manifesting as a culmination of some kind. Your associations or people in your life might have some bearing on your public image. Sometimes a direction.like this could be an introduction to somebody you might eventually marry. That's just meant.as an example and intro to solar arcs. To actually answer your question would require a really in depth look at your chart transits progressions etc IP: Logged |

Thank you for explaining, Yungang. Would you be so kind to look at my chart above and see if anything jumps out at you that would be significant. Someone just told me that position of Mars in my chart leads to unhappiness IP: Logged |
