I have a theory about Nodal placements (not aspects) in synastry and I wonder what other people think. If two people have complementary placements either by sign (for instance, person A's NN in Virgo and person B's in Pisces) or by house (like person A's NN in the 4th and person B's NN in the 10th) or even if one's SN sign naturally rules the other's NN house (like person A's SN in Virgo and person B's NN in the 6th) or vice versa - then they are especially well equipped to help one another along their soul path, right? Because they've each mastered the qualities/area that the other needs to learn.I have long thought this but recently started seeing someone whose NN is in Pisces in the 4th house while my NN is in Capricorn in the 6th!! Really blew my mind. ------------------ Sun - Taurus // Moon - Aries // ASC - Cancer // Mercury - Aries // Venus - Taurus // Mars - Pisces IP: Logged |

Thank you, Voix de la Mer! That gives me hope!! Do you feel the nodal placements have been easy and uplifting, or more challenging? Maybe challenging in a good way? Do you feel motivated by one another to improve yourselves?IP: Logged |

This is really interesting. I'm not sure if it's the same thing you mean but my good friend's SN ruler (Jupiter) is in the same house as my NN - and I also have it loosely conjunct my NN natally (3deg, just out of sign).I can definitely see what you mean about sharing lessons. It's a different thing I think, but that same friend and I also have NNs in the same house (7th) - even in composite, draco, Davison etc - which I think suggests a shared lifepath direction possibly. Stellia - yeah, for sure! Do you ever feel like you encounter similar "tests" or challenges in life? Does your friend teach you some of the 7H lessons you need to learn?I am just fascinated by the Nodes, they're the most important thing to me in astrology! IP: Logged |

Hey Sashavittoria! I am a huge fan of the nodes, too. What grips me with this particular friend is that his NN is exactly conjunct my Venus. My NN is conjunct his asteroid Union and loosely his moon (4deg). We both have a lot to learn about relating, he's challenged by opening up to people - his NN is in Gemini. I have just come out of another emotionally damaging relationship, in which I learned I have played this role my entire life. He needs to learn to open up and trust, and I need to learn how to find emotional courage and stability. What better way to approach these two issues than in one-to-one relationships where trust can be properly nurtured - hence the 7H links. At least, that's how I see it IP: Logged |
