So I asked this in 2.0 and didn't really get an answer, but some useful info. Hoping I'll have better luck here So first of all, in am event chart what holds more weight, the chart ruler or the Sun? Second, would a 5H Jupiter/Venus/Mars be more pleasant amd favorable than having them in the 6H? That actually ties in with my first question due to the fact that if I have the Venus/Mars conjunction in the 5H the Sun will be nestled quite comfortably in the 6H. But if I were to go with a 6H Venus/Mars, the Sun could sit right on the DSC.. I really want to keep the Moon in 3H... I can post the chart I have drawn up if wanted

Haha I fell asleep in the middle of posting this last night. Whoops! The first thing that really jumped out at me when I cast this chart was the conjunction of the Asc/Dsc rulers. But alas I have no idea what it actually means :/ But with both Venus (fall) and Jupiter (detriment) in Virgo I do have my doubts about this chart... IP: Logged |

It's a little late to change the date though, so I'm after the best houses for the planets to be in...I really like the idea of the 3rd house moon and being able to communicate feelings/emotions/inner turmoil.. I've read that Venus rejoices in the 5H, and since she is already in Virgo I think I would like to do my best to keep her out of the 6H.. IP: Logged |

I can see your reasoning for keeping that conjunction in the 5th, especially with Venus as the chart ruler for this one. I'm not sure how Saturn in the 7th would work out though. That seems risky. So does the moon's final aspect squaring Uranus in the 12th. At least it's cadent. I think the grand trine between Sun/Moon/Neptune is lovely. I stumbled upon this book... Don't know anything about it, but thought you might be interested since it's specific for wedding planning: http://www.amazon.com/dp/0738711691/ref=as_sl_pd_tf_lc?tag=aprilelliottkent&camp=14573&creative=327641&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=0738711691&adid=0TKJACQCM0GE4N9CB6DS&&ref-ref URL=ht tp%3A%2F%2Fwww.bigskyastrology.com%2Fwedding-date-astrology-tutorial%2Ftime-third-try%2F Here's also a good link specifically talking about what you want to find in a wedding electional chart: http://www.mountainastrologer.com/standards/editor%27s%20choice/articles/electional.ht ml
It says this about your Saturn in the 7th: "Planets in the House that Rules the Matter Say that someone elects a chart for a wedding, and the chart has Saturn in the 7th house. A lot of astrologers might gasp. That’s an overreaction, I think — but I would like to see this particular Saturn supported by lots of easy aspects and relatively free of hard ones before I breathed easily about it. The general principle here is that any planet lying in the house of the quesited assumes a great deal of power in the chart. That’s a fairly obvious idea, intuitively. The trick is to be cautious about any knee-jerk assumptions about which planets are good and which ones are bad. We would love to see Jupiter in the 7th house of a wedding chart — but if Jupiter is currently passing through some tense aspects, you probably don’t want to put it in the spotlight. Doing so could suggest unrealistically high expectations of the marriage, which can lead quickly to disillusionment. A solid, happy Saturn might serve your intentions a lot more effectively." I don't really think you will get much better than the time you have chosen on this day. A good point of clarity on timing: "The actual moment that you are pronounced husband and wife or spouses is the time that counts. So when providing me with a time range for this event (explained below), you need to know if your ceremony will take 2 hours or 20 minutes." http://www.beyondsunsigns.com/astroplanning.html I don't know what kind of ceremony you are planning but anything could happen that day to throw the end timing off... You might want to see how early you can keep that time to plan for unexpected things coming up to delay that important point that counts: "I now pronounce you man and wife." (or similar) I think with Saturn in the 7th house, there is a possibility of delay for the event...? IP: Logged |

Wow appleberry! Thank you so much! I was a bit iffy about Saturn in the 7H as well, but I really wanted Venus to be the chart ruler, and if I went with a Libra ASC we would have to get married between like 3-4 A.M. lol Oh and isnt the last aspect the Moon will make the sextile to Venus/Mars? Or are sextiles not considered in electional astrology? And since the only aspect Saturn makes is the square to Neptune, do you think it's alright? You're a doll for helping me with this. Our ceremony isnt going to be anything too long or extravagant, maybe a candle lighting or a sand ceremony and we'll be doing our own vows. To keep the 3H Moon and get Venus/Mars in the 5H we can be pronounced man and wife anywhere from 6:05 - 6:25. Should be enough wiggle room if we start the ceremony at 10 til. We'll be doing a rehearsal at least once to get our timing down he knows its important to me Im definitely going to check out those links! IP: Logged |

No worries, I'm learning while I'm doing it because I have never specifically looked at a wedding event chart before. The moon doesn't have any sextiles in the chart you posted above... The furthest applying aspect appears to be a square 9˚ to Uranus... however, Event charts can be read similar to horary which would generally only use up to Saturn and only Ptolemaic aspects, leaving the moon VoC... I think a square to Uranus is better...? VoC moon in this kind of chart is apparently very bad from what I've read... I would guess Saturn square Neptune would be disappointment with how thing turn out, test of faith/trust in your partner/marriage(?), the reality of what you believe your partnership to be isn't what it seems and all will be revealed...? I'm guessing that's what it's going to mean. Moon square Uranus... I've had the opposition in a few synastries and composites... it brought constant drama. There was good drama but the bad outweighed the good ten-fold... all you have is a square though, and both are in a cadent house at least... Overall I think you picked a good chart... IP: Logged |

I know there is no sextile yet, but I thought all aspects the moon will make before it leaves it's current sign were relevant when it comes to electional?IP: Logged |
