Saturn in Leo is really interesting. This isn't a sign where Saturn "thrives" per say, because Saturn is about order, control and discipline.
--True that! Saturn and Leo? That's a mismatched couple for sure.
And the Sun(Leo) is about self-expression, flamboyancy, etc. In the first house, shows that you would restrain your otherwise flamboyant and out there personality.
--Yep, I do. I feel it takes several times with a person before they see my true personality.
But then Saturn has no problems taking Sun's other characteristics(leadership, etc). So I can see a corporate environment with this. Or at least,
a not so subtle controlling influence.
--Eh, I can be a bit overbearing...something I am working on.a
Then we see the real interesting configuration of a Sun-Venus conjunction in Libra(different nakshatras. and if I include them, this reading will be even bigger. And I'm afraid of my mistakes.)
With Venus as the ruler of 10th, you'd typically think cosmetic designing, nail salons, etc. Anything dealing with Venusian values.
--Hmm, interesting. I have a knack for beauty.
That gets more complicated being conjunct the Sun (and the aforementioned Sun qualities.)
But Sun suffers similar effects in Libra to Saturn in Leo(Saturn is also making it's 3rd place aspect to the Sun.)
So this isn't really an expressive Sun. However, it is your Atmakaraka(Soul). So I feel it's something to develop.
--Yes, I do. When I do express myself, it works for me. But it's a lot of work for me sometimes.
This is shown by the 2nd house Rahu. 2nd house deals with values, lineage, etc. And thus things there would be promoted, but also confused and muddled.
Moon is in there as well. And in Vedic astrology, Moon isn't only your feelings/emotions, but it is your psyche. It's who you are. Depending on theVedic astrologer, they would even say your Moon sign is your soul, whereas the Sun is the expressive will.
So your values(Moon) must be elevated(Rahu) by any and all means. Rahu, the North node of the Moon must advance these goals at any and all cost.
Furthermore, Rahu/Moon are in Virgo(Mercury's sign) and Mercury is the significator of communication.
So I'm really getting the strong vibe of
communicating your feelings and trying to come out of your shell. And there might be external pressures to this end.
--Yes, my quirky side is hard to show as I come across "well-behaved"...
As I hinted at, there's a hidden and subtle edge to your personality(not a bad thing at all.
We all need a backbone). Those external
pressures causes the Mercury in Scorpio
and the Mars in Cancer.
--Yep, I do have an edge.
For all of the restraint of Saturn in Leo and the Saturn-Sun aspect(and Sun's being in deterrent in Libra) there's only so much you can handle.
And it's shown by the Mars in 12th house Cancer.
Hidden emotions, powerful raw and intense
emotions. And with sharptongued Mercury(backedby Moon-Rahu), you're at no loss for words(or even action) for enforcing how you feel which is what your life calling card is with your particular Saturn-Sun situation as well as Moon-Rahu in 2nd house.
--But what is that life calling?
Here's something interesting, Ketu in 8th
house(my grandmother also shares this house placement. Gemini instead of Pisces though).
Ketu(South node) means detachment. And the 8th house is famously known as the house of "sex, death, taxes" (and more importantly, the occult.)
Ketu means to separate you from these eighth house things. Because you were already experienced in these from a past life perspective.
--Hmm I do like Astrology, but I can't separate from it. Just.cant.
But Rahu(2nd house) looks across from itself, fueled by the Moon no less. So there's an intense involvement in the Occult, not to mention sex(haha.)
--Need to meed a guy pronto.. JK.
But at the same time, your life should be
geared more towards self-expression(2nd house Virgo) rather than 8th house Pisces.
What I saved for last is Jupiter: Ruler of 5th and said 8th house is in 11th house(Gemini.)
Just like Saturn and Sun, Jupiter isn't thrilled in Gemini. This is because Gemini/Virgo are ruled by Budha(Mercury). Guru hates Budha's adolescence and immaturity. Mercury is also the sign of making money, etc. Jupiter wants to preach the gospel, to preach faith.(Saturn is about discipline. Discipline in faith just happens to be a perk as far as Guru is concerned.)
Guru, the ever expansive planet is in the 11th house. Whether Guru likes it or not, he is going to expand towards social friendships and groups. He's going to bring everyone in to listen to the dogma of connectivity in this placement.
Now, all of this is just Sign/House placements. I barely spoke about aspects. I mentioned Saturn's 3rd aspect(to Sun).
But Saturn also makes aspects to the 7th and 10th place to itself.
Obviously, the 7th aspect to itself means its aspecting the 7th house(Aquarius), which it co-rules along with Rahu(in some Vedic astrologer's opinions. For others, Rahu/Ketu are points. They shouldn't rule anything.)
Even though Saturn is in his enemy sign, it's a good thing he's looking at his own house(7th).
This means Saturn is affording protection to the 7th house. His protection isn't quite as good as it would be though, since he's in an enemy sign.
This could mean that Saturn(delay/obstacles, etc)
could be the cause of your not getting a
relationship.
--Same as Autumn said! 2 for 2...must be why.
Saturn's emphasis on your
career, job, life experience itself(as you noted) could very well be restricting yourself(first house).
--Yes i work too much as the risk of my own fun!
But also, Saturn's influence on the 7th house(your spouse in other words), could also perhaps be a deterring factor for others.
Like I said, your chart has a powerful expression in it and not many men could deal with that.
--Yes, I need a strong man with a solid sense of self.
Also Saturn aspects(obviously) the 10th house from itself in first. Meaning that Taurus MH(Venus).
Venus is your strongest planet in terms of dignity (especially since the Sun conjunction is 16 degrees away.) With Saturn aspecting it, as well as its ruler, even though Saturn isn't happy in Leo, this Venus is getting a lot of support.
Sun also makes three aspects: 7th, 4th, and 8th from itself.
That means the 9th house(Aries), the 6th House (Capricorn) and the 10th House(Taurus).
You don't have planets in any of those houses.
(Of course, I mentioned the indirect connection to Saturn and the Venus conjunction already.)
But with your ascendent it means that
you put emphasis on higher learning/philosophy(9th house), hard work/service(6th house) as well as public appearances/career(10th house) all
play a part.
--yes, I focus on learning, I love learning.
This just became apparent to me, but I think homeschooling is a huge possibility.
_Went to regular school. but I read a lot now..
4th house ruler is Mars, as well as the
9th house and it's in the 12th house.
Given that home(4th) and higher philosophy(9th house) emphasis, it seems strongly implied. All the moreso in 12th house Cancer.
Venus just makes a few aspects. The sign
it's in, and 7th/8th from itself.
It's interesting in Venus's case, since the 8th from itself is its own ruler(10th house).
And Venus is in the 3rd house(communications/publishing.)
So that might be a career outlet as well.
Mercury has the same 7th, 4th, 8th we've
been talking about.
That means Mercury aspects the 7th house(Aquarius),
10th house(Venus) and 11th House(Gemini/Jupiter.)
Similarly to how Saturn is looking at its own house, now Mercury is looking at its own house and Jupiter in it.
This is increasing Jupiter's annoyance. It's like having Budha in there
anyway, telling Jupiter what to do and how to do it.
This might have translated in your life as
having others telling you what to do and how to do it, or vice-versa to much great annoyance.
--LOL, YES. I can't stand authority.
A constant pull and tug between Mercury and Jupiter plays out as hidden drama in your chart.
With Mercury looking at the 10th/11th house, it reinforces that Venus/10th/Communication aspect of your career. And the 11th house ismore than social networking, it's also gains
and desires. With Mercury aspecting it,
it shows that earning money at the very least isn't a problem.
Now then, Mars aspects 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th
from itself.
That means it aspects 3rd house(and Venus-Sun), it also aspects Mercury(4th House), 7th house and 8th house(Ketu).
Mars in Cancer is an emotional placement,
especially so for you with Rahu-Moon.
Aspecting Venus-Sun gives it a feminine expression(Venus) where I can see fashion designing. I also can see competition amongst other females(Mars rules competition, and Sun rules the ascendant-self.)
--Yes, Ive been the victim of Meangirls before.
And that aspect to Mercury again highlights the (hidden) ability to speak for yourself.
Rahu/Ketu don't actually make aspects(unless it's sign aspects. But I feel like I went through enough of the chart as it is) so we'll end with Jupiter's 5th and 9th aspects.
Jupiter's 5th aspect connects
to the third house(Venus-Sun) and to the 7th house.
This means relatives/siblings must have been a positive factor(again, Rahu in 2nd house reinforcing this) or at least special in some regard.
--No, not really...
But with the aspect to Venus as well as the 7th house, I feel as though whoever your lovers were(You said you had it going on in your 20's, I believe you, opposite of me haha.) they were mostly beneficial.
--They were. I learned a lot.
However, they could have also been restrictive and demanding(Saturn in 1st, aspecting Sun.)
And that's it for the chart.
Wow, this was in depth! See inline for comments.
