Happy St. Pat's day to y'all....I proudly wave my orange (my ancestors were Protestant IRISH ) and nibble on orange and green cupcakes.....no, not really, but I can wish, can't I?

Oh, I'm soooo ready to return to Eire! The Emerald Isle...
I'm a full half Irish, the other half is Italian.

Happy St. Patty's day to each of you.
Here's some fun background info:

St. Patrick isn't even Irish. He's Welsh, born in the 4th century as Maewyn Succat (his birth name).
He was kidnapped by pirates and sold into slavery in Ireland. After six years he escaped to Gaul and became Patrick (a christian name).

Patrick was about 60 when he returned to Ireland to convert the pagans. He used the shamrock to help explain the concept of the Trinity (father, son and holy spirit).

He died March 17, 461 A.D., and that's the date we use to commemorate St. Patrick's Day.

May the luck of the Irish be with Ye!

Hey thanks for the lil history lesson, Trillian. I'm half Irish so I'm always curious to learn about such things.

It's one of my life goals to see Ireland.

Cool Love the graphic!

My puppy turned 11 months old today!!!!

Shoot, I forgot to wear green, it's hot here, in the 80's so I am wearing a pink T-shirt. I don't think I have a green one except for a lime green one and that's the wrong green

Thank you.. and a happy happy green smiley face to go along with the sentiment!!
Happy day, all!
Nepthys~ You're funny, you make me laugh.
Well, I must work this evening, and work has supplied me with a big green tshirt that says "Happy St. Patrick's day" on it.... Not sure how exactly I feel about it.. maybe a little goofy? I mean, I am all for themes, but I was thinking you know.. green eye shadow, and maybe a small shamrock painted on my cheek..
But alas, I will be a walking billboard for the leprechauns, with a three sizes too big t-shirt, announcing sentiments to all who gazes upon me.
Pink is looking pretty good right about now!

Pixel,

Alas, I did end up finding a green T-shirt. It is a Generra brand that I got when I was a teenager. I can't believe how old it is, but I never wore it much so it's in nice condition. So it's about 20+ years old if you can believe that!!!! Wow, maybe I shouldn't share that. How embaressing

Let me tell you what they say about the Blarney Stone in Ireland:

The tourists kiss it all day, and the Irish pee on it all night.

So I'll pass on that offer, 2tailscorp.
