I hate having this stupid caret at the end of my nickname. I originally registered here as "Meercatt" (no caret), but I've long forgotten the password. Could you please somehow help me get my correct nickname back?

Ummm... that's not going to help.
I registered here several years ago as:
Meercatt
Then I forgot the password.
And my e-mail address has changed since then.
So I re-registered as
Meercatt^
But it just irks me having that caret (^) at the end.
I can think of two ways to fix this, either of which requires Webmaster powers:
1) Send my old password, the one for "Meercatt", to my new e-mail address;
2) De-register both usernames, "Meercatt" and "Meercatt^", and let me re-register.
Either way would be fine. I hope I'm not asking you to go to too much trouble. It's just that the caret^ shouldn't be there and it irks me (sun sign ruler in Virgo, go figure).

I can delete the first account, so you can re-register it, but you will need a different e-mail address than what you currently have--or I can delete both accounts.
