These are a few of my favourite things...cos when the door slams, and the bee stings, and I'm feeling sad, I simply remember them...and then I dont feel so bad.

Favourite word
Machiavelli absolutely love this word. Dont know why! Though I've seen the word GAH!! a few times and it makes me laugh

Favourite song
It got to be 'smells like teen spirit' You know how you hear a song a lot of times and it becomes boring? Well, this song evokes the same feeling in me everytime. I also love Chaka Khans classic's. Never fails to make me feel sensual, and more..

Favourite tipple
Red wine Because it is healthy too. Well at least thats what the doctors tell you. And you know you can always trust the doctor. Though Gin never fails to bring a smile to my face

This is all i can remeber so far. GAH!!, all the nourishment from the Red Wine is starting to kick in.

What are yours, fellow Knowflakes and Moderators.

Ooo, not forgetting...
Favourite Share-site
LINDALAND YAY!!! This is the simply one of the best sites i have been too. So much love, goodness, positivity, beauty (i checked out the photoshop....bellas all round)

And it always seems like big brother's watching

Are you Canadian? European?
You spell favourite like I do.. or is that Universal, and I am just sheltered?
I like your favourite things. Very nice. I do a mean rendition of "Smells like Teen Spirit"... and Machiavelli~ I had used it and hoped it was in contexxt, like last week. Look it up too, interesting!!!!(Machiavellian is the word I used.. the online dictionary I found doesn't say the same thing as my home one)

Are you of the X or Y chomosome?

Hey Pixelpixie, Ingenious username. I am of the X chromosome and African, though reside in Europe.

I asked on another post whether music could be uploaded. Can it? cos it would be great to hear your rendition. From your pics, I see you are a musician. What kind of stuff do you do?

Yes, not musician so much as singer and I don't play an instrument though it is never too late to teach an old dog new tricks.
Unfortuntely, as of now, I have no music online... but in the year, I am sure that will change.
We do remakes in bars.... for fun.. older stuff, like Fleetewood Mac, Beatles, CCR, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin...and I throw in Sheryl Crow, as she does remakes, and she's also a chick. But I do write songs, and always have.
I thought you were of the X Chromosome, but whenever I saw "Danny" I heard the song 'Danny-boy' in my head... so It was throwing me for a loop.

oooh nice choice there with the 'Smells like teen spirit' song, Danny.
I Nirvana and that entire early 90's Seattle Grunge scene. I'm just a rock chick at heart anyway, so I love almost all music of the rock genre, classic and otherwise.
...And I can't pick just one favorite song. I love them all! lol

My favorite word is ethereal. I just love the lightness of that word. It conjures up images of beautiful colors and fairy realms.

...And I don't really have a favorite tipple, as I only drink an alcoholic drink once in a great while. If I do, it's usually something less likely to get me completely smashed, such as a glass of wine. Or sometimes I'll have a cliched tourist-trap drink such as a strawberry dacquiri with the little paper umbrella. But I'm really a soda girl at heart. LOVE my Pepsi, Sprites, and Dr. Pepper.

...And ditto LindaLand as a fav. share-site!

Machiavelli was an Italian philosopher and politician, who pretty much believed in ruthless absolute power.

Aphrodite, sorry you are having a low day. Feel better soon lovely lady.

Aphrodite.. my day is blah too.
Not that think its cool that we are both down.. but it is cool that we are both down together.. you know? Cappy Moon perhaps.

I like the word "Diaphanous",
so I also love the word "Ethereal"
and "Gossamer"

Trillian ( I am editing) How are you?
I used Machiavellian as in "He is so machiavellian"
I never use it often, as it is one of those potentially embarrassing ones, but it worked, and popped in my head, which is why I thought it was cool that she had mentioned it!

It's only 2:20 pm right now. I just want to go home, eat an early dinner, take a shower and do the laundry.

Skip working out. Blah.

Hey, ya'll!!

Hmmm... favourite word... tough one. Can I pick a phrase? I love hearing : you're right ... Leo moon? lol

Favourite song of late... another tough one, I listen to too many songs... but I just went to see the national tour of "Rent" on Saturday, and there were some pretty kick-a$$ songs in that show!! "The Tango Maureen", "La Vie Boheme", and "Seasons of Love" stood out as show stoppers! (ditto on the Keane, Aphrodite... class song! ) Another song that helps me wipe the winter blues away is Weezer's "Island in the Sun".. makes me smile picturing myself lying on a beach chair sippin a blue cocktail... ahhhh!

Favourite tipple (new word to me!) hmmm... red wine is always good, maybe a nice cab-merlot mix, or perhaps a chianti... I have been fancying those Smirnoff twisted Mandarin Oranges after work though. Just one...

...and of course, LindaLand is the best!

It's all good, pixie. I'm fine and hope you are too.

Aphrodite...eat some comfort food.

Fave word: I love words. Epiphany is a fave. Any word with an X in it is cool (syntax, extreme, xylophone, xerox). Iconoclastic is another fave...oh, and Bono. Bono literally means 'one,' btw, if my memory is correct.

Fave song: Could never pick just one, but if pressed, "Imagine," by John Lennon. I'm currently immersed in the new U2 CD; it's a masterpiece.

Fave tipple: Love good dry red wine. Dry, dirty martinis. A good cold beer can sometimes hit the spot, like an icy Corona with several lime slices on a hot summer day...

Fave Veggie: asparagus. MmmMmmMmm

Fave pizza topping: Olives. But once my niece and I made a pizza with tater tots on it, after seeing Napolean Dynomite.

Fave TV show: Currently digging Lost, but also 24.

Fave book: My own!

Sorry I had to dash. Hey Pixelpixie, Sheryl Crow rocks!!

Sassygrrl, totally. Almost all of Nirvana was supreme. I was never really into grunge, though you couldnt tell from my shoes!! I had these huge-arsed platform skectchers. You know the ones? so heavy they couldnt have been good for me. Though they worked a treat for getting through a crowd. People would literally move aside for me to get by

Olive toppings are real tasty. My favourite topping though has got to be mushrooms. Mushrooms and cheese; mushrooms, cheese and bacon; Chicken and mushrooms...GAH! I'm feeling peckish all of a sudden

I'm looking forward to what Coldplay bring out.

Favorite Share Site: I do love Lindaland however I was a member at the Aeclectic Tarot forum first so I have to pick that one.

No problem, Aphrodite. I found a real good download site the other day. Its called Ares. You can download movies, software, everything in no time at all. Check it out

Miss_apples, if you like broccolli, you need to try this. Simply cook your broccolli to taste and dip it in mayonnaise. Delicious
None of that low-fat crap...Full-fat Hellmans is the best.
Try it. You are gonna love it.

My favourite cake
Chocolate. All the ladies are with me on this one. Right? Nothing beats choclate cake...well, almost nothing

Ghani, I love "Rent," too! I've seen it twice. La Vie Boheme is probably my favorite song. I love the surrender in "I Should Tell You." Had to gush real quick... been waiting for someone to mention this show!

Favorite word and favorite song... I love so many of both and go through phases. Right now I've been listening to lots of Mellencamp... love his songs.

I love sangria... and most things alcoholic!

I love lots of veggies, especially the versatile potato (total carb junkie) and brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower-- roots and cruciferous!

On my pizza I eat pepperoni and green olives.

I don't watch TV but I have become a Smallville freak since last month, thanks to my boyfriend's DVD collection. Just got through seasons 1 and 2, and I started season 3 last night. I can't get enough of that show! (I'm 28... is that bad?!)

My favorite books are short story collections. Right now I'm reading David Sedaris, but Kevin Canty and Margaret Atwood are longtime faves! Also, e.e. cummings and langston hughes poetry.

My favorite cake is probably cheesecake.

What is your favorite meal from childhood? My grandma always made homemade noodles, mashed potatoes and roast beef. So delicious!
