I just picked up my mail. Thank you so much. I have seen these books before and almost picked one up but didnt. I guess they were waiting for the right time to be read by me. Leafing through them I can see they are right up my alley and just what I need right now. Again, thank you. I cant wait to dig in. They came at perfect timing and I will be curling up with one tonight.

You are an angel. Talk soon. (just sent you off an email)

Trilliaaaaaan this book is a jewel. I'm already almost halfway through the first one. Love it, love it. I know I'll be reading this over and over again. It's very refreshing, I felt my spirits lift with each page. This is one of those books that goes straight to your heart and you say, "This is Truth. Plain and simple." I also like the fact that is a book that you can pretty much flip to any page and get alot out of it, or pick up when you need a message. And it's style is gentle yet the messages and truths within it are still powerful and clear. Some of these things I've heard before, just in different words. But words that never get old and that we need to be reminded of often. And as the universe would have it, this book is exactly what I need right at this moment. The messages are coming across loud and clear and I'm sitting back smiling at the perfection of it. Thank you for listening to your self and sending them to me. It's a gift that will last a lifetime. Like it says in the book: "As awareness expands, it cannot contract. It can be distorted, but it cannot contract. Once one has known a human consciousness there would be little use in being a blade of grass again, for the karmic structure of the human being is far more complex and aware."

This also spoke alot of truth to me today:

"The battle of light and darkness is within you. This is not a world of victimization. You are very much in control of your own life. You are here to see where you are in the light and also to find the residual areas of darkness that are determined to sabotage that Light. It is all too common to feel victim to negativity whereas the negativity is really owned by the individual as part of the karmic structure. Darkness is a choice. We are speaking of a denial of Light not an absence of Light. The concept of God being in all things, therefore, is not so irreconcilable."

So true. I'm "getting it" more and more each day.

Love you loads too!

For anyone who's wondering, the book is: Emmanuel's Book A manual for living comfortably in the Cosmos, compiled by Pat Rodegast and Judith Stanton. I love it and I'm not even halfway through it yet. LOL

26T, do you not think it is possibly to perhaps OD on metaphysical books? Just wondering because a couple of friends of mine practically lost themselves in existensialism. Basically getting stuck, or doing concentrics round themselves, because one book may say Yes on an issue another says No.

Hey Danny,

Well, I dont know about OD but I suppose one could engross themself so much with certain subjects that they could run themselves into a state of confusion. Too much of anything is not good. Balance in everything is key. But any knowledge they gained would never be wasted.

Personally, I dont care if a book says Yes or No. I am not looking to live my life by books. I LOVE reading a good metaphysical book but am also quite aware of it's purpose. I'll read it and take with me the parts that feel right to me and leave any behind that dont. I do not let books or anything else tell me how to live my life, or try to live word for word by them. They can be great teachers but ultimately you have to LIVE your truth not read it. I've learned not to get wrapped up in the right or wrongs of what I'm told and instead decide for myself. I am following no ones rules but my own.

Your friends that get stuck or run concentrics around themselves are actually doing just fine. They are at that place to learn and right where they need to be - as much as it may seem like they arent from an outsiders perspective. They are where they need to be for their souls development and are moving from one point to another, perfectly placed on their path. Also there is really no such thing as "stuck", you are always moving, growing. Even the people that seem like they arent - are.

People like to confuse themselves when it's really quite simple. Stop looking outside yourself, it's all within. Dont get me wrong, you can still read and benefit from books and at the same time look within. Books, astrology, etc are teachers not masters. It's when you RELY solely on outside sources that you get in trouble and run into confusion. The key is knowing yourself. Listening to youself. Yet, we all lose ourselves from time to time. That is part of the journey. We wouldnt be here if we didnt. But All is clear and known at the still point within.

So, one book says "yes" another says "no". What feels right to you? That is your truth. It's simple. Take with you the parts that resonate with you, leave the rest behind. When you are expecting to find the answers somewhere outside - from an outside source, you will be confused, feel stuck and always unfulfilled. You go on searching in things and people when it's all right there inside of you. That's why people feel empty. When you listen to the voice within, you just Know. And when you just Know, you feel full. Your Heart is full and that is knowing. Not in your mind but only in the heart can you truly Know something. Your Heart sees through the Illusion, not the mind. It's not hard. Buuuut people like to take the long hard road sometimes. And that is just as good and totally their own choice. There is only one destination and whichever road is being taken is all leading us to the same place.

It's good that your friends got "lost". Because it's only from there that you can find. And that is all we are here to do - and ARE doing whether we realize it or not. Finding ourselves, our way back Home.

Books are like people, you attract them to you at the right time and when you need to hear the messages within them. Nothing ever comes into your awareness unasked. When the student is ready the teacher appears. And the "teacher" comes in many different forms. Then you start to see that these little things are your prayers being answered. If you can learn how to listen. Turn off the mind and listen with the heart.

Wow! I went off there. Did that answer your question. LOL

Besides within, I most often find God in people, nature and good metaphysical books.

Yes it truly does.

I enjoy a lot of what you write because you express your ideas in ways that I am learning to do.

Such lovely posts, 26T. I couldn't agree with you more on the nature and essence of metaphysical books.

I'm so glad you like the books...I had a knowing that you would. Simple but profound, they had a huge impact on me.

More later, but I wanted you to know that I read your wonderful posts.

I kept forgetting to get back to this. Thanks Danny. I noticed you cut your post down but I meant to ask how the job hunt went. At the art gallery? Best of luck to you.

Thanks trill. Still reading away!
