OK.

I have a very high tolerance for long movies.

I have a fairly high tolerance for drawn-out movies.

But Oliver Stone needs to learn the value of a good editor.

Geezuspleezus, not even "Irish Eggnog" made that flick good.

*plucks out eyes, throws them at TV*

THERE! THERE OLIVER!
ARE YOU HAPPY?!?

LOL and I watched that movie twice - in the theaters and then rented the DVD. That only comes to say how different people`s preferences are.

God it was horrible. I saw it on dvd a couple months ago. Even Alexender' exceedingly cute and eyelinered boyfriend couldn't save it for me.

And I can handle long movies. And I'm all over Braveheart and Rob Roy and Lord of the Rings, etc. etc. etc. (yes I realize at least one of those is fiction... Rob Roy sheesh!)

I can just imagine you, Proxieme, plucking your eyes out and throwing them at the T.V.
Thanks for the good laugh.

The thing is, I went in genuinely *wanting* to like Alexander, wanting to be able to say that I was in the slim minority that could see its wonderful attributes; and there were *nice moments* in it. There were interesting strings of thought that may have been wonderful to see fleshed-out, but as it was the movie seemed an excercise in masturbatory film making.

cancer - If I like a movie, I never want it to end. I'm more than happy to let it immerse me in its world
I've seen a couple Indian movies, and've liked what I've seen.

I have a question.

Whose bright idea was it to cast Collin Farrel or however you spell his name. GEEEEEZ that was friggin' stupid. The whole movie I just thought "Hrmm I didn't know they had bleach back then" because his ROOTS were showing the WHOLE TIME.

I mean if they can make Marton Csoskas and Craig Parker perfect platinum blonde elves in LOTR it would stand to reason that a little more effort would make COlin a believable blonde. But no.... alas....

>>>because his ROOTS were showing the WHOLE TIME.

That one was so irritating throughout the movie to me as well.
Also, the last great battle with indian king could have been portrayed in a much better way. I feel lot of things lacking there as well.

It's been a long time - mostly stuff that my friend in HS would watch during sleepovers.

They were all pure Bollywood - lots of singing, lots of dancing, coyly romantic.
Good stuff.

Rofl, Proxieme!

But I would bet that plucking out your eyes actually would make that movie *less* painful. I couldn't agree with you more - ugh.
