TINK~

really? OMG, you had a baby!!!! That is wonderful- congratulations! so you are super new mommie, as we speak...are you getting any sleep? was it a surprise at first? or were you planning to have a child?

I am sooooo out of the loop!

The isolation is just a matter of fact you learn to accept. No cell phones, no internet, and the nearest grocery store (and its pretty small) is about 2 hours away, depending on how many tourists are stopped in the middle of the ONE road to take pictures of the ONE bear that is an roly poly speck about a quarter of a mile off said road.

The nearest McDonalds is about 2.5 hours away. The nearest Target is 3.5 hours away.

But its a REAALY pretty drive (the first 10 times!)
It once took me 1hour, 20 minutes to drive 16 miles. Yes. 16 miles. Stupid bison. Silly, happy tourists who wont get out of the car to take a picture. Nor will they pull over. I know they are excited, they are on vacation- I don't hold it against them.

***just screaming, in the car, PLEASE PLEASE get out of MY WAY!!!! I want OUT OF HERE.***

Yes, I saw bears- sometimes a little closer than I really cared to. There was one silver tipped male grizzly that spent just about the whole season hanging out around the employee dorms. I remember him from last year- he was a cub then- with his dam and sister cub. I had heard the mother and sister had been killed by tourists hitting them with cars (!!) So sad.
It puts a huge crimp in hiking plans when its bear country. I like to go by myself- generally accepted as NOT a good idea around bears.

I may have had the much sought after epiphany had I not worked so damn much. 60 hours a week on average, 70 to 80 when necessary. And necessary happens alot. Its a good thing I am a virgo, and my entire sense of self is wrapped up in work, work, work.
Alot of personal trauma happened during my years in the wilds. i am hesitant to dump it all here because I don't want to be judged (not that people here are judgemental, but I can't handle the possibilty of being despised by the wonderful folks here.) I am feeling just a wee bit emotionally fragile right now.

Most likely, its all about that 5 planet stellium in Scorpio, in my 12th house right now. Yikes!

Love ya Tink- congratulations, joy to you and yours right now!!

hey pix... its nice to be back.
i am fully immersing myself in sloth. I am staying at my brother's place in portland OR. SO, if you peek at weather in your daily business, you will see that we are building a new Ark down here in the great and soggy Pacific Northwest.
yes, i know that everyone jokes about the rain here- its a given. HOWEVER... the nightly news weather people are just ecstatic they are getting this much attention. some places have gotten 1.5 FEET of rain in 2 days. Flood records are breaking, and most of Washington state is in a "state of emergency."

i am sure this is going to be great for election day- hell, I dont want to take out the garbage, much less stand in line to vote.

anyhoo-
i cant buy a laptop.. Mercury RX, no WAY i am buying anything right now...i am halfheartedly looking for a job, but i can always go back to WY in December, so there's no immediate need.

unemployed virgo=basketcase

i dont know if you saw it on the other post.. but congratulations on your Saturn surprise. you are a phenomenal person and a great mom. another lucky, beautiful child on the way.

i come back to LL, everybody's having babies.
wow.

peace out- i should go to bed so i can get up before noon tomorrow... yes, sloth becomes me...
