disclaimer: She is a taurus with a scorpio asc, aqua moon, aries merc. I am a scorpio/cap asc/aries moon/sag merc. Thankfully I know not all taurus girls are like what I am about to describe:

For the first month, my gf lived with me in my apartment, than she went back to France. Than I lived on my own for almost three months. It was my apartment, it felt good to be on my own. Than one day I got a desperate phone call from a good friend, pleading with me to let her move in with me. Her home situation is crap, I know. So I let her. She is not on the lease, but does pay half the rent to help out. But she is really starting to annoy me. It is not anything big, but a lot of little things that really add up. I need to vent. Am I justified in being annoyed or should I get over it. Here are some things that **** me off:

-She did the laundry, and left her clothes on MY chair. fair enough, until I wanted to sit in it. I proceeded to move the clothes, only to find they are wet! common sense says you can't keep wet clothes balled up anywhere! Leave them to hang I told her! My chair was also wet

-She leaves dirty dishes, empty pasta cans, ect. near the couch in the living room. I am not her maid and refuse to pick up after her. I do remind her, but she ALWAYS does it. she comes home from work late, cooks something, sits down, eats, reads and falls asleep. goes to work. it accumulates A LOT if I don't tell her to bring the damn dishes to the sink. still quite a bit even with a reminder.

-there has been left over green beans, chicken and pasta in the fridge wrapped up on MY plate for a month. I am not her maid. I have told her "what are you doing with this food" and "are you throwing it away?" She says "Yah I need to do that." well get off your ass and DO IT. it is a short walk from the couch to the fridge. I am not your maid and will not throw HER FOOD away for her, it is the principal!

-Speaking of draining. For the first 4 months or more, the shower drained perfectly fine. a month after she moved in it started to drain like sh!t . I cleaned most of the bathroom but left some for her and asked her to do some of it and mentioned the drain. she didn't do anything . I had to wait a week and withstand her ignoring my attempts to get her to do it and finally did it: lets just say an ungodly amount of loooong strand of hair came out. stuff she could have done. you clog the drain YOU unclog it!

-She does not do dishes often. when she does, she will fill the sink up, for, literally, 5 things, FOR HOURS and she does not drain it after. and leave it filled the entire night! I never notice until the next morning, when I have to reach my hand into cold water to drain it. common sense says you don't need to soak less than a dozen dishes over night. it obviously well smell! and the dish drainer is not in the sink. It is there for a reason!

-I leave my towel hanging next to the shower. yet twice I have found it on the other end of the bathroom next to the toilet! since I had a guest I could not blame her either time it happened. So I left a note "WHAT IS MY TOWEL DOING ON THE GROUND NEAR THE TOILET? I LEFT IT TO HANG FOR A REASON, TO DRY, NOT TO COLLECT GERMS ON THE GROUND!"

-Before our friend came to visit I said we need to clean. she had the gall to say "its not like shes going to a marriot!" yah well we need to be welcoming, show pride in our place and have it clean for her!! common sense eh? no one wants to stay in a place that is messy when they go on vacation! needless to say I took the lead in the cleaning and she finally caught on and did some.

-she seems to like to drink my soy milk, the stuff is not cheap. But I can usually make one carton go 6 or 7 days. with her, it is gone within two days and I barely get any of it. I need to talk to her about that.

when i got back from France last month i was greeted by a few changes:

she moved the matress off of the wooden frame and on to the floor so the wooden frame and matress take up the whole living room practically.

her paper work is ALL over the table. i am not touching it! she said she would clean it but its so bad i had no room to eat last night when i was tired and just wanting to eat so I pushed it away into the corner. let her organize it, it is still on the table!

the smoke detector was on the ground! she ripped it out of the ceiling!

nice to be welcomed in my kitchen to overflowing trash and many dirty dishes. and rags on the ground after 3 weeks of being gone.

and what ticks me off the most? (this is a story from a month ago) I said I had NEEDED her half of the money by jan. 15 before I got back from France. She said of course she'd have it on the table. she said IT WILL BE THERE ON THE TABLE. it was not! so she said "I don't have it but it will be there for you tommorrow morning (jan. 16 which is the ULTIMATE deadline for rent). "I will be at the bank at 9 while you are still sleeping (as if to complain that I get to sleep in too is the tone she used). well, I awoke at 9 and she did not leave until 9:30. SHE KNEW she had to work at 10 and knew I NEEDED the money before class at 10:15. it got to the point where it was 10:30 and I figured she must be at work. I was left with no money and she had the keys. I expected her back by 10, so I could not go to class. she knew I would get back WAY earlier than her for the day, its common sense! My classes are done at 5:30. she finished at 8, so i can not go to class or do anything until i get my keys from her, so I almost had to make an extra trip to her work which is far away, before she finally came back ay 10:45. It is a short enough walk that she does not need the taxi. but she waited for an HOUR to get one for no apparent reason. she could have walked there and back.

back to today:
today she went to boston. she left a message on my phone "damn taxi screwed me over be back at 7 tommorrow morning." So now I have to get up and miss sleep to get her early! why depend on a taxi, she needs the damn bus to go from boston to portland maine? ugggh and it was 8 so she could have easily gotten a bus before 11!

she always goes to work late, ALWAYS. If she needs to be in at 10, there is a good chance she is still sleeping at 9:45. How Boarders has not fired her is beyond me, considering we live in a pretty populated area with many hard workers in need of a job. an she loves those 40 minute showers when I need to use the bathroom for 10 minutes, no matter how many times I tell her I need to get in before 9:45 for a little before class at 10:15!

I needed to vent! its a lot of little things adding up.

as a side not: How does someone manage to sleep in until 7:30? I mean, I woke up at 1 the same day, and that felt late, like, my record for sleeping in. But by 3, I said "screw it, no more being certeous, I want to listen to my music and enjoy it while I do my paper on my last day of break (sunday) before class). I think she was asleep by 2:30 in the morning, awoke by 8 than went back to sleep around noon until 7:30! than was asleep by 11 the same day! How do you act that lazy??

her friend also annoys me, he called me a slow learner when my roomie said "well carl is nice to me" when her friend was making fun of her. she tend to chill with obnoxious people and has the most OBNOXIOUS laugh ever. I CRINGE, it is awful.

She definitely sounds like an aggravating roommate - it doesn't sound like you're overreacting. The only suggestion I can think of is the obvious "have you tried talking to her?"

Or, maybe you could look at it Zen-style and ask if she has come into your life to teach you some important lesson? And, maybe, once you figure out what it is, the problems will miraculously vanish?

Or, you could just tell her to get her own damn place. Then, at least when she gets fired from Borders, you won't be in the position of having a non-rent-paying roommate.

well I can't lie, it is nice to have extra money coming in. Rent is split in half which allows me to do fun things. No one else would live here because it really is a place ment for one person. though she is a little, over the top with money. talks about finances a lot and I don't care. yes you are poor..so am I.

we do have good talks. though for a while (prior to two weeks ago), its was about her venting about a sociopath, socially awkward overly masculine aries who I regret ever hanging out with. but, yah, I have talked to her about some of this..not all of it.

At least she's not all bad, then!

You must be a nice guy to let her come and stay with you in the first place. Maybe she doesn't realize that she's being a pain.

Yeah, though; nothing's worse than having someone leave your towel on the floor. Arg.

Holy crap, she sounds like she could be the sibling of my Taurus roommate! But way worse than mine hahaha. I could rant on myself, but I won't hahaha. I don't even know what her problem is other than laziness, but then she runs her mouth like she owns the place too. I'm always just like, "Yeah whatever you say uh huh."

I keep wondering about that lesson thing Johnny mentioned, if it is some karmic lesson, why we get stuck with really nasty roommates. I haven't a clue what one would have to learn from that though. :P

I don't know what kind of karmic lesson it would be to start a fire in here. She left her pants on the heater today. Stupid move the way she did it. I can admit to turning it on, turn blower on and leave shoes on there to dry insides out for a minute, WHILE I AM THERE. But she left and went to the bathroom. Thank goodness the smoke alarm she ripped out is working, even though I can only get it to the point where it is hanging from the wall. I woke up and wondered what the buzzing was (coming from outside?) and decided to get up and invetigate. ahh, above me. come into living room, the dolt left her pants on the heater. the smell was terrible, so I had to take them off and turn off the heater. Just minutes after I tried to get a little sleep, cause of course, she buzzed in at 8:12. like she could not choose a better time to come home, like last night! and it figures its on a morning where I sleep like sh!t! but I could have at least slept till 9:20 this morning!

yah, leaving the pants on the heater alone is STUPID!
