It is "six degrees of seperation"...

It's the theory that everyone in the world is seperated by 6 people.

If you know someone, they know someone, who then knows someone, etc... if you take this practice 6-fold, the theory states that we all know each other.

If you look at it with the perspective of two people creating one degree of seperation, then I have about 3 degrees of seperation from Hollywood... My mom's cousin whom I personally know (my first degree of seperation) is the co-owner of the Flea Theater in Manhattan with Sigourney Weaver's husband, so of course my second cousin knows Sigourney Weaver (second degree), who is presumably acquainted with Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johansson, and the bulk of Hollywood (third degree).

So, if you know me, you now have 4 degrees from Hollywood.

My second cousin is a very private Scorpio, so who knows how he met Sigourney Weaver. I believe they both have ties to Philadelphia, as Sigourney is closely linked to M. Night Shyamalan, whom I've read to be closely linked to Philly.

My cousin and I don't have not much contact, but at least I was able to hang out with Sigourney after she gave a speech about having known my mom's uncle, at his memorial service a couple years ago. That was pretty cool.

I don't know what people intend to accomplish by starting topics such as that.

All I know is what the term "6 Degrees" means.

I don't visit those websites, but I imagine the intention is to try to link themselves to those people (just as you had mentioned).

Sacrlett Johannsen and Natalie Portman both want me badly and have fought over me 6 times giving each other 6 bruises. Does that count LOL? I dunno why, but they are both madly in love with me and want to have 1000 of my babies.

If you get to view this message, LEXX, I'd like to share with you that visiting nature, such as the woods, gardens, hills or mountains, parks, riverside or lakeside etc, is not only therapeutic for the body, mind, and spirit, but also a great way to alleviate dry eyes, eye pain due to exhaustion or overwork. A time off from the Internet or computers from time to time is complemented by returning to nature, being at one with trees, flowers, plants, the wilderness.

I totally agree and it helps, when I am able I sit by the lake, or walk the nature trails with my shepherds hook,
Of late I have bed bound in pain on and off.
Last night was agonizingly horrible.
I lay in my bed and look out at my little grove.
It will be prettier when the trees get their leaves.
Even that little bit of nature helps.
