Okay, I've been working on my name all last night and this morning and I've come up with ALOT of words (I have a really long name, just barely fits the criteria in Star Signs) but I haven't put them together yet. I want to make sure there aren't any big words I that I've missed..just when I think I'm done listing, another word pops up!

So I'm going to put my letters up here if anyone is interested in doing a lexi of them before I post mine, I would really like that. I'll post my first lexi later tonight...

This is alot of fun! ...and a bit creepy

Here they are-
A A A B D E E E E G H I I M N N P R R S S T

Fantastic harpyr!! I will have a look at your name but I have so many others to do first!!

I can't wait to see what the druids have to say about you!! Don't ever rush a Lexi, they do take time. Alot of my lexi's take a couple of days as I need to be in a fully meditative state before I can hear the words properly without distraction.

Good Luck!!

Wow.

Wow.

Thank you Learning .
That was magnificent.

The part about a mate returning is really incredible because in just these past few weeks I've met and spent time with a man that is exceptional. We have astounding amounts of things in common and when I just recently cast his chart for the first time, my jaw dropped. He has a blessedly good chart and the syastry between us has a boggling amount of past life connections and is SO positive that it makes me more than alittle nervous. I haven't seen another person's chart interact with mine in such a profound way since I saw my son's father's chart.

Okay, I'm going to put up the lexi that I've done so far. It's hard because my train of thought often gets interrupted by the wee one and I'm afraid I'm over intellectualizing the thing..it's turning out more like a story of the world than about me in particular.. But then, the story of the world is inside each one of us isn't it?

I'm not done yet, I don't think.. so maybe I shouldn't share just yet but I'm anxious to hear what others think of it so far here it is..

STERN MASTERS TEARING THE TIMBER
TINDER IGNITES TREES
HEATING SPENT EARTH
PIRATES SPIT IN GAIA'S SHINING HAIR
MEN'S EMPIRES BREED HATE, RAPING HER PRANA
PAIN'S SHADES SHARPEN
THE EMPIRE SPREADS THIN

IN NIGHT'S GRASP
THE SERPENT STIRS
SHE BREATHES IN HER RAGE AND
MENDS MEN'S MAD HEADS
HER SERENADE ENDS THE EMPIRE'S TIRADE

A RISING SPIRIT RIDES ASTRIDE RED ANGST
AN IMPISH RED-HEAD PIRATE SEES A SHINING STAR TRINED AT MIDNIGHT
SHE RIDES HER GREAT SHIP ASTRIDE RISEN TIDES
PEERING INSIDE HARDENING HEARTS
HER BRIGHT STAR DRAINS HATE
MENDING TIRED PAIN
EMPIRE'S END IS NIGH

GAIA SINGS AND ENGENDERS SAGE AND MAGE
THE BRIGHT SERAPHIM HARBOR AGED HARPIES
THEy HEED THE TIDINGS
THEIR MIRTH HARRIES THE MASTER'S GRASP

MAGI AID TRIBES RESISTING MASTER'S REIGN
TRIBES BRING EMPIRE'S END
EIGHT ENEMIES HATE DRAINED, MADE BENIGN

NINE SEERS AMASS AT MIDNIGHT
SEEDS GERMINATE IN MENDING EARTH
ARDENT SPIRITS PRAISE MAIDENS AND MEN
BIRDS SING

EASTER IS HERE
THE GARDEN EDEN RETERNS
GAIA IS REBIRTHED

Thanks Randall!

Did I do it right? It seems more a picture of what's stirring around in my head more than anything else..

I have something like three pages full of words, almost too many to pick and choose from..maybe I let the novelist inside think overly much about it?

Hi Harpyr,

I totally agree with RubyRedRam on all accounts. Great job on your lexis. Truly. Also, I agree don't analyze them...just let them flow. Sometime mine doesn't make sense now but several months down the road it makes complete sense!

You seem to have a talent at lexigramming, Harpry. ALA

PS Good luck with your mate.

I did a Lexi of my first name and this amazing man that I've been seeing's first name.

I wanted to share..

aa ee ii g h nn s t v p

THIS IS A SIGN
HEAVEN SENT HIS HEAT
IGNITE THE NIGHT
GIVEN SIGHT
EASE THE PAIN

THESE PAGANS NAVIGATE THE EAST
HEATHENS PAINT HEAVENS GATE (we're both painters and dirt worshippers !)
SAINT INSIGNIA GIVEN
ANSIENT PATH
HE SANG of THE PAST

SHE HAS HASTE
SHE HAS HIS HEArT

Needless to say..things are going really well.. I'm trying not to rush things..even though my Scorpio moon has historically liked to get really intense quickly.. It feels like kismet. Boy that sounds cheesy.

this is cute, i just got it...

The Washington Post publishes a yearly contest in which readers are asked
to supply alternate meanings for various words. The following were some
recent winning entries:

1. Coffee (n.), a person who is coughed upon.

2. Flabbergasted (adj.), appalled over how much weight you have gained.

3. Abdicate (v.), to give up all hope of ever having a flat stomach.

4. Esplanade (v.), to attempt an explanation while drunk.

5. Willy-nilly (adj.), impotent

6. Negligent (adj.), describes a condition in which you absentmindedly
answer the door in your nightie.

7. Lymph (v.), to walk with a lisp.

8. Gargoyle (n.), an olive-flavored mouthwash.

9. Flatulence (n.) the emergency vehicle that picks you up after you are
run over by a steamroller.

10. Balderdash (n.), a rapidly receding hairline.

11. Testicle (n.), a humorous question on an exam.

12. Rectitude (n.), the formal, dignified demeanor assumed by a
proctologist immediately before he examines you.

13. Oyster (n.), a person who sprinkles his conversation with Yiddish
expressions.

14. Circumvent (n.), the opening in the front of boxer shorts.

15. Frisbeetarianism (n.), The belief that, when you die, your soul goes up
on the roof and gets stuck there.

16. Pokemon (n), A Jamaican proctologist.

The Post also invited readers to take any word from the dictionary, alter
it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new
definition. Here are some of those winners:

1. Intaxication: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you
realize it was your money to start with.

2. Reintarnation: Coming back to life as a hillbilly.

3. Foreploy: Any misrepresentation about yourself for the purpose of
getting laid (e.g.: "I'm a doctor...")

4. Giraffiti: Vandalism spray-painted very, very high.

5. Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person
who doesn't get it.

6. Inoculatte: To take coffee intravenously when you are running late.

7. Hipatitis: Terminal coolness.

8. Osteopornosis: A degenerate disease. (this one got extra credit).

9. Karmageddon: It's like, when everybody is sending off all these really
bad vibes, right? And then, like, the Earth
explodes and it's like, a serious bummer.

10. Glibido: All talk and no action.

11. Dopeler effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they
come at you rapidly.

Gods, I wonder if my hipatitis is showing?

Love,
Carlo

This reminds me of The Meaning of Liff by Douglas Adams. Excellent book. Anyone read it?

That's hilarious..

I really like this one -
4. Esplanade (v.), to attempt an explanation while drunk.

I just tried that one last week. Perfect description.

Only now I saw your question, Carlo.

Yes it's a vocabulary of words interpreting things (feelings, sounds, situations etc.) that don't have a name, like for example the feeling you get when you sit on the chair that's been warmed by someone else's butt and stuff like that (I don't remember the word to illustrate it now because I don't have the book, but I promise it's really funny)
If you like the creative playing with words, I highly recommend it.

AIRD OF SLEAT (n. archaic)
Ancient Scottish curse placed from afar on the stretch of land now occupied by Heathrow Airport.
