Hi Lyndel, I have a quickie question as to your opinion on something. Some astrologers say that a persons Asc. affects their personal appearance, so far as features, stuff like that. I know one astrologer though, who insists that contrary to popular opinion she believes a persons moon sign gives them certain physical attributes. What is your take on this?

Can't wait to hear what you have to say, Lyndel...

Me, I look more like my Cappy asc than the Sag sun...short with dark hair and the sad smile common to Cappy...not the tall athletic Sags.

I am not Lyndel, obviously, but wanted to share ...
YIVY, allow me to say that I am not sure saggies are always tall and athletic. The women are usually pretty, and well built.
I had known a few saggies who were shortish, but their physical trade mark is their horse-like way of hurried walking ..!
I believe the sunsign usually gives away..., for example a leo female would have a sexy butt , and long beautiful distinctive hair.
An Aries woman would almost always wear pants, but occasionally alternate with short skirts; that is because she knows that she has a sexxy body to show for it.
A Taurus man has broad shoulders and a beer belly , and a capricorn lady would probably have a pear shaped body, and soft, baby skin.
On the other hand, a libra man or woman, is always immaculately dressed, with all the trimmings.
A pisces man is above average in height, and is usually slim. Both men and women of this species have BIG FEET.
Cancer people have sexy full lips, and the cancer woman has full breasts . Aquarius men have relatively narrow shoulders, and a heavy derrier, and full thighs. ( gives a feminine physique )
These are a few of my humble observations
Anyone likes to add/debate anything..?

Gooberlily,

What a great question. I too have heard some astrologers place much emphasis on the moon sign affecting physical appearance.

I personally think the ascendant as well as the sun sign are the most significant and a persons appearance is a combination of the two.

Starlette what impressive observations. Dont forget that often librans have a dimple on their chins too.

Great stuff! Thanks for all of you adding your thoughts on the matter. What wonderful observations Starlette, I've seen a lot of them that you mentioned! Ah, the Libra dimples Lyndel, gotta love 'em! I personally have noticed that:

sun or rising people a lot of times have a gap in their two front teeth (sometimes it disappears as they get older) or slightly downturned eyes.

I've noticed little things here and there with other signs too. I agree that most people I've seen have either large feet, or very beautiful feet. Either the feet are in good shape, or they annoy the heck out of their owners!

I think that we do look like a combination of our sun and rising... people are supposed to be slight, but wiry and have relatively thin hair that might take on a reddish cast in the sun. I am thin, but my hair is not thin at all. I have really naturally dark hair (it does have red highlights in the sun, but is almost black) that runs on the thick side...a more common trait in people, and Cancer is my rising sign.

I haven't seen many Sag. women that are tall, most I've seen are in the average height range.

Most Scorpio rising or sun sign people I've seen have a rather pronounced nose, chiseled and well-shaped.

Most Virgo sun and rising people I've seen have rather small and delicate noses, especially the women.

Almost every Gemini I've ever known (including my daughter) has hazel eyes, their eyes are beautiful. A lot of the time it's hard to actually pinpoint what color their eyes mostly are, they have flecks of this and that flying around in there!

Here's a cool site I found on this subject if anyone would like to take a look:

If interested, please decipher these:

This pic was taken one late summer, which gives a dark tan, that I am not blessed with throught the year

Great photo! But you have your e-mail listed, which surprised me (since you don't list it here). Nice tan!

Thanks for the compliment
The reason I didn't list my e mail was because I had one bad experience with a member on another site, who sent me some uninvited mail . She was a with a sting'...!
But hey, feel free to access it, and all the nice people on this site.

I think Venus has a lot to do with physical appearance. By the way, a very good Placement for poets (in my humble opinion) is Venus in the 2nd House.

Yep, they are missing a few combos FC. I was thinking of sending in a pic for my combo a little while back, but I don't have a close-up enough shot.

The site is a terrific idea, but their Board is so slow. Maybe a few of you could post something the next time you're there--to get it kickin' a little.

I have felt/noticed for many years that the moon does play a role in physical appearance. But it is not as strong as the sun or ascendant. It does definately seem to influence though. Attempting to explain myself...if the sun or ascendant has conflicting looks (tall versus short or thin versus plump etc.) than the moon is the deciding factor over which will dominate. I have to agree with Randall too about Venus being very important in appearance. But for the most part I have found physical appearance being unhelpful for me in guessing someone's signs. That may be due to my amateurness. WT

Welcome to the site, White Turtle! Morning Storm is VERY good about guessing important things about a person's natal chart based upon appearance.

WT~

Randall is correct... Morning Storm is wonderful, and was able to rectify my own chart as I didn't know my birth time... she used my photo to help her put the pieces together... I was amazed and ever so grateful

But what Randall didn't tell you is that HE is AMAZING at interpreting charts, especially the North Node thing (sorry Randall.. I had to tell ) ... I will ever treasure the kNowing his work has imparted to me... I study it pretty often, and evertime I think to myself, "Oh, thank God/dess for Randall's gift."

You could read The Way of The Shaman to make your journey to the Underworld and meet your power animal...
I have a link to a Celtic version somewhere, don't move!

Retrieving a Power Animal
www.members.tripod.com/~PaganHippie/retrieve.html

I used it with a CD with a 4 to 7 Hz frequency.

I did a retrieval in a group too, was very clear.

Hope this will prove useful!
