I read somewhere that your ascendant is often the conjunct, square or opposed your parents signs. it works a bit in my family, my brother's rising sign is the same as my mothers sun, square my fathers sun, while my nieces rising sign is conjunct her fathers sun, my other niece isn't square anyone. interesting both are elder children...is it more predominate in the eldest child? especially as the eldest child is usully seen as the one who conforms to expectations.IP: Logged |

I do think there can be family connections but not necessarily sun signs.My father:
Taurus Sun
Pisces Moon
Virgo Ascendant My mother:
Cancer Sun
Taurus Moon
Ascendant? (We don't have an exact birth time it could be from Leo -- Libra but I can guarantee she isn't a Virgo Rising......) Myself:
Libra Sun
Libra Moon
Scorpio Ascendant Brother 1:
Cancer Sun
Aries Moon
Virgo Ascendant Brother 2:
Scorpio Sun
Virgo Moon
Libra Ascendant There doesn't seem to be any dominant Libra in my parent's or any of my grandparent's charts.

My AC is in Virgo and my mothers sun sign is in Virgo
As well I have heard the the vertex acts in a similar way to the AC DC axis, and my antivertex is in Leo and my fathers moon is in Leo. Neat IP: Logged |

my moon is in Pisces and my mother was a Pisces. My sister's moon is in Cancer and I'm a Cancer. My father's moon is in Aqua and my sister is a Cap/Aqua cusp.IP: Logged |

It isn't the case for me, My mom is a Leo, Cap/Cap... My father is a pisces and thats all I know, But I know that the most I have is a a few things in Leo in my 9th house and that's it. I do have 2 Pisce's sun brothers and a leo sun sister, I believe one brother has a Cap asc. IP: Logged |

Hey...my mom is a Leo Asc/Sag Sun/Aqua Moon. I'm a Leo Asc/Libra Sun/Aqua Moon. My Dad's a Libra Asc/Sun in Cap/Moon in Sag. My son is has a Libra Asc/Sun in Aries/Moon in Cap and his dad is a Gemini Asc/Libra Sun/Moon in Cap. Astrology is sooooooo interesting!!! I love it.IP: Logged |

I am Sun Cancer, Sag Moon, Taurus RisingMom isn't a Taurus but she does have her Moon in Cancer. I don't know my dad's Rising sign, but he's a Capricorn with the Moon in Sag too. Interesting.  IP: Logged |

This is interesting - I've heard of this theory before!*I have a leo rising. My mum and dad are both leos. My sister is also a leo. *My mum has a sag moon - her mum is a sag. *My dad has a libra moon - his mum has a libra moon also. *My son is a cancerian sun/moon with an aqua asc - I have an aqua moon. *My partner is a taurus sun/pices moon/virgo asc. His dad is a taurus as is his younger sister. His mum is a virgo as is his older sister. Anyone else?! --------------------------------------------

Very interesting thread, my Daughters Taurus Rising is exact same degree as my sun. Now my father is born right on the cusp of Virgo and Libra and my rising is Libra. My mother is Leo (blah lol maybe why I don't like leo energy lol ) But her Moon in aries is exact same degree as my venus. IP: Logged |

My ascendant is in Leo and my Mother's sun is in Aquarius so they are opposed. My oldest sister who has always been some sort of a parent figure to me has her sun in Leo as well. She's not biologically my mother nor my father but I was raised by her more thoroughly than both my mother and my father.IP: Logged |

I'm so captivated by this concept. Not much to say about it other than I've noticed correlations myself._____Me_________Dad_________Mom Asc_____Libra_____Scorpio_____Sag

Jup_____Virgo_____Scorpio_____Virgo Seems like Scorpio and Pisces was injected into my from my father, from the looks of it.
I can attest to sharing qualities from both of those signs with him. Emotional instability being a primary. Lol Ascendant is shared with my Mother's Moon.
