There exists a theory (I am not going to claim anyone although it would be eminently reasonable to mention names/pages) that the consequence of the sun&moon conjunction is the cease of tension between the female(anima) and male(animus) inside of a human being therefore a balance which is unnatural or non-existing. As a result people lack of the awareness of their gender...

The author didn't mention that therein he sees the origin/reason for homosexuality but in the end that appears to be the meaning.

What do you think of this?

Well, the one person I know w/ a Sun/Moon conj. doesn't seem to suffer from gender confusion or harbour some ambiguity, but he is a Cancer/Cancer, so, while effusive, he keeps his own secrets.

Hi Zephir, welcome!!!

Interesting conception, but there is so much speculation regarding homosexuality in the birth chart. I have read various articles where each astrologer gives their take. The bottom line, so far, it can't be agreed upon by the community at large.

Lately, I was reading about Mercury, being the only androgynous planet, a perfect blending of anima/animus, and the harsh aspects will bring out a tendency for bi or homo-sexuality. Mostly, the author feels it is either from Uranus, Neptune or Mars. He says the opposition is the "thinking" and the square is the "doing".

Getting back to the Sun/Moon conjunction, I personally feel this is a total integration of the masculine/feminine giving the native the ability feel equally comfortable with both sides in their self as a whole person. Meaning, the native, whatever gender, exemplifies both characteristics in a balance and comfort, yet being true to their birth gender.
