Hello,
Can anyone answer this for me???

How do you find the Negative things that a person may have in their chart..
Such as, killers, child abusers(physical & mental), just plain crazy people..?

There is bad and good in all of us I know this!!!! There is no such thing as an all positive chart, yet I can't find anything as far as the definitions for these types of things. Can anyone tell me where to look?

I have to know!!!

Hi Mary
Well obviously the whole chart needs to be taken into account PLUS the fact that we do have free will and can overcome any "difficult" aspect.......

Mars square Pluto can be a real toughie
Especially if both in fixed signs.
Well that's a start for you.
What're other people thoughts?

Hi Mary
You really need to take into account the sign and house placement of each planet as well, to get the whole picture of someone's chart.
Plus you also need to look at if she has always behaved in this way or are some current transits triggering off something in her chart.
Hope that helps
Sue

PS: Did you manage to get hold of a copy of the Parkers Astrology book? That really is an excellent book. I think you'd find it to be very helpful.

PPS: You might find this link interesting...

the birth data is June 3, 1955 5:am DST central time Morgan city, Louisiana...USA
If that helps you to help me.
I have done the chart and only come up with the good stuff... I really don't know enough yet to determine the bad aspects..??
Thank you for putting up with my dribble.

Hi Mary,

In terms of the "killer" segment of your question, though this could apply to all aspects of your query, I share quite a few planets in signs and houses (including a house system) with the most recent serial killer- the D.C Sniper. Same ASC, Sun, Moon, etc. Events in our lives, including killing people (or being killed), are a combination of natal placements, progressions, and transits. (There are likely many more issues at stake as well). This is obviously a very complicated picture that requires dedicated study. Even now, organizations and websites like astrodatabank are working overtime to understand all the details that might offer clues for the sake of prevention.
On my own, I have found that the asteroid Asmodeus plays a very significant role in the various types of natal charts of almost every mass-murdering leader in the 20th century. (There is an Asmodeus thread in the General Forum at www.bobmarksastrologer.com.) Though there were a few charts that did not show any major aspects to this asteroid, it is impossible to tell their house placements because of a lack of a given birth time. They could very well have been angular, and if the asteroid was found in the first house, and the ruling planet was Mars or Pluto... And I did not look to progressions or transits yet which will tell an even more involved story...

As you can see, the picture just keeps getting more and more complicated.

Sorry I can't give you a more specific answer!

Cat,
Your answers have been wonderful.
I have learned more than I knew, from you.
I really enjoyed the link, with the article,
(Jungian)The only thing is I didn't understand how to determine a father complex. The article was detailed for the Mother complex??? Could you enlighten me on that?
As i told you in another thread, I want to learn everything I can. I thank you so much for giving me the time that you have.

Hi Mary
You're very welcome to any help I can give you. I'm really pleased to see you "growing" astrologically

I haven't got time today to re-read the article link I posted so for now....
To look at things very basically - Moon = the Mother, Saturn = the Father. (So look at the aspects made to those 2 planets in a chart)

These days astrologers do have different views as to the Mother/Father influence. Just a few of the reasons for that is the growing increase in the number of one parent families, women now working as opposed to always being the one to stay at home looking after the children (some men now assume that role) plus nowadays we also have "gay" couples adopting/having children.

Anyway, like I said...let's not get too tricky

Sue

PS: Another couple of things to look for in a chart are....
Are there an unaspected planets (by that I mean making no major aspect to another planet)
Are there any planets at 29 degrees - considered to be a critcal degree.
Any singletons in the chart.

These can tell you quite a lot about a person.

Hi...I'm enjoying this thread...

what is the significance of a planet at 29 degrees? I just looked at the chart of someone i dated who has his moon at 29 degrees aquarius.

why is that a critical angle?

thanks!

Hi Oxychick
Here's some info for you re the Anaretic Degree (29th degree)

29º
The Anaretic Degree, sometimes also called the Karmic Degree, is most often referred to as the 29th degree. To better understand its significance, let's break it down mathematically: The full wheel of the Zodiac contains 360 degrees and is composed of 12 houses (representing the 12 Signs). Thus, each house contains 30 degrees. Each degree within a house is labelled 0-29; therefore, the 29th degree is the last degree that a planet travels through in any house. If you have a planet positioned at the 29th degree in any of the houses of the Zodiac in your chart, you could say that planet is stationed at the Anaretic Degree.
Your personal astrological chart is a snapshot of the planets in the heavens. It captures the location of the planets within the houses at the exact time of your birth. Astrologers look to the characteristics of the planet at a Karmic Degree and respect its teachings. In Astrology, it is very significant if you have a planet at the Anaretic Degree. If a planet is in this position at the time of your birth, it means that you are very close to mastering an important lesson of the universe, but you have not quite achieved success. It is only when the lesson of that planet is mastered that you may move on and progress spiritually and universally. People with an Anaretic Degree have a lesson to learn.
Astrologers take the meaning of planets at an Anaretic Degree and encourage people to push themselves in the directions of the planet's characteristics. This planetary position signifies an urgent need to correctly utilise the energy of that planet. The lessons it indicates cannot be ignored if the individual wants to grow and transcend or achieve reincarnation and spiritual reinvention of the physical form.
Find which placements are in your chart. For a more precise reading, the attributes of a planet at the Karmic Degree must be taken into consideration along with the Houses and the Signs that the planets occupy.

Moon at 29 degree
Spending some time unpacking your emotions is time well spent. The Moon encourages us to open ourselves up and to communicate our true feelings. There may be issues with your mother or women in your life that you need to resolve. Listen to your instincts and your feelings and make efforts to express them more honestly. Pay attention to your mood. Your first reaction may be the best; trust your instincts and reflexes. Seek out or offer your mothering and nurturing side. Pay close attention to the health of your stomach and breasts.

Hope that helps.
Sue

That's great and it sounds liek him alright...mr. emotional...

i found a bunch of other planets in the anaretic placement in some other people's charts and owuld like to know more. do you know of any websites that offer info on this particular placement?

what about other conditions? Like paranoia, obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc.? Have you heard anything relevant to natal charts and psychological disorders? this is very interesting.

Hi everybody,
This thread is getting big..
Yes, I think Diane Stein is a good writer, easy to absorb, but very deep.

I am reading "Essential Energy Balancing" right now, It is my first Diane Stein book.

I really want to read all of them, though.
This one is for healing past, present, and future Karma. Some of it is on another thread I think it was the thread called (making up for bad karma...)
You really should check it out.

Also Cat, thank you for yet, more information!! You have given me so much info already. But then I was once told that you can learn something from every person that you come into contact with, no matter how young or old.

See ya'll Monday

hey i'm new.
Oxychick, some pointers: mental illness can be the result of several things:
a)Negative aspects to the ruling planet or planets in the 1st house
b)Negative aspects to the Moon
c)Negative aspects to Mercury
d)Negative aspects to the Ascendant
keywords:
Pluto-Paranoia, suicidal, intense, overbearing

Neptune-Confusion, delusions, hallucinations, religious fanaticism, addictive behavior

Uranus-Bizarre, eccentric, erratic, wild card, inconsistancy, unpredictable, peculiar

Saturn-Rigid, strict, single-minded, depression,defensive
Jupiter-Compulsive, grandeur
Mars-Agressive (mirrors Pluto behavior to a lesser degree)

Venus-(mirrors Neptune behavior to a lesser degree)

Mercury-Erratic (mirrors Uranus behavior to a lesser degree)

Sun-Grandeur (mirrors Jupiter behavior to a lesser degree)

heres an example:
Nancy Spungen
Feb 27 1958 6:52 am EST Philadelphia PA
Source: "And I Don't Want to Live This Life", by: Deborah Spungen
Diagnosis: Schizophrenic
Nancy had Pisces rising and several difficult aspects to contend with. She was the girlfriend of Sid Vicious. She was murdered about 1978 in NYC

I always look first to the ruler and what is happening to it in the natal chart. In Nancy's case, the ruler (Neptune) is conjunct Jupiter and squared by both Venus and Uranus. Uranus, to me, is the prime culprit in schizophrenic people. Adding in the influence of Jupiter can only serve to enhance the effects and make it a severe case. Venus, in this case, is also influenced by Jupiter/Uranus and would indicate her tendency to associate with strange people

And for those of you wondering how multiple personalities might be indicated in a chart, look for aspects from Uranus and Neptune to the Moon and a highly sensitive nature such as might be gotten from Cancer or Pisces types. This suggests that the nurturing the individual received was defective, or the the person is so sensitive that he has a need to fragment the personality in order to survive what he cannot handle emotionally.

my first post is a long one. i have a lot to say.

Thanks for the link! I figured you had to have *some* fire in you. I'm from NYC. Born and raised.

I wasn't trying to insinuate that you weren't capable of providing such info on your own, but merely that information is learned, and i was wondering from whence you learned this information.

wow that's really interesting about Anaretic Degrees! i always knew this was considered a 'critical degree' but had no idea what that meant. it just might explain a lot... i have venus in 29 degrees Pisces, and i feel this placement very strongly... i have to watch myself so as not to become disillusioned when it comes to affairs of the heart *sigh* and i dont think i watch myself very well (!) i can see that in it lies the key to my spiritual development... thanks

Hi Cat. While you are at it with anaretic interpretations do you mind doing one for the North Node in Pisces at 29 degrees? Am I at the end of all my lives and learning cycles? LOL
