Hi. I'm not sure of the answer. I'd like to think of it as less internal tension but I don't know. I only have one square as well at a 7 degree orb.IP: Logged |

Having a few squares in one's natal chart can indicate a couple of things; your lat lifecycle was so tough that you needed a break this time around, or you are here to learn how to cope with just a few tests this life cycle. Sometimes that is tougher to do, because the incentive isn't there to do what you need to for your growth. If you look at your lifespan as only this lifecycle, you may fail to understand the pattern of a series of lifecycles, each providing opportunities for growth. Only one/two squares? Then I have a question for you.Do you feel you have no big problems in life, does everything flow more easily, do you feel that you don't have many obstacles in other areas of life? Or is that not the case? Do you feel that your life is centered around the area(s) that is indicated by this square? Maybe this means that you only have to solve this one (or two) problem(s) and you're off to the next level! I heavily feel each and every one of my squares and oppositions, so I'm really interested what do you have to say about that. shine on

I'm not sure if your question was to me or not, but here is my response. You may be right about if you only have one square, it becomes more intense than if you have numerous squares. Also, taj didn't say anything about oppositions, and of course they can create difficulties in one's life. Lanny IP: Logged |

To be honest with you guys, I don't find myself any better or worse off than anyone else. I have a Mars square Pluto, Sun opposite Neptune, Mercury opposite Mars.IP: Logged |

hi, thanks all! i have a couple of oppositions because of a kite configuration. i feel the energy of these oppositions. i wonder about squares because i've learned a square to be an aspect that offers opportunites to work on the growth and evolvement of one's self. it lets one accomplish much, in other words, in terms of what i mentioned. i am looking at/for my life lessons so i was wondering about my one square. and tis even said to be a favorable one: jupiter square ascendant. "Do you feel you have no big problems in life, does everything flow more easily, do you feel that you don't have many obstacles in other areas of life?" i feel i have none. i have always TRUSTED. but i do have two grand trines. and i have always felt blessed.

I think that square is a more dynamic energy than an opposition - the square compells you to act, while the opposition kind of blocks you because it represents polarity, internal struggles - it forces you to join two opposing energies, therefore you often don't choose any of them and you remain stagnant in the area represented by the opposition. But I learned in an astrology course that these two are nothing compared to the 150-degree aspect (inconjunction, I don't know if this is the correct name in English) which you can't really do anything about. It is manifested by constant stress and uncertainty in that area and requires careful adjustment to one or the other planet energy. But what the hell, we're still alive, aren't we? shine on IP: Logged |

Hi Morgana. I have only one square, Mars square Pluto. Ah but it's a toughie, let me tell you. I also have Mercury opposite Mars. That's not an internal opposition either. I think the purpose of the trine people (like myself) is to use the gifts (trines) we were given and not to be lazy. I have a kite like Taj, it does give my chart a focus at least. IP: Logged |

Mars-Pluto, that's a tough one allright. In what way do you feel it? I have square Venus-Pluto and it's no picnic either. I tend to get obssessed with the one I love and I think this is the textbook explanation of the aspect as well. But it's also important what kind of an aspect it is: is it closing in (in process of forming a tighter aspect, you know, usually the faster one closing in on the slower one) or is it dissolving - in the process of breaking up? The first kind is I think more powerful than the other because the energies are building up, and in the other case they are losing its strength. shine on IP: Logged |

Mars/Pluto....need to keep my temper in check at times. It's a wide orb and it's also separating so it's not really that big of a problem, thank God. Venus square Pluto sounds intense. That's not a bad thing though. Alot of people like intensity especially in affairs of the heart. IP: Logged |

corri,There is no average number, I have to say. Earth is a school. We're here to learn. There were some subjects that we flunked last time so we're retaking them. Or there are some subject areas we haven't mastered yet. But there are exceptions. Sai Baba has 10 squares and He's not an ordinary being! He chose to have them in this incarnation. But then, Cosmic Masters are no longer bound by planetary configurations. IP: Logged |
