A synastry chart is the energies that bounce back and forth between two people and their planets. A composite chart is the relationship itself.IP: Logged |

hi jackie,a synastry is when two charts are compared. like putting one on top of the other to see aspects, house placements, configurations, etc. here, two sets of data are compared. a composite is when two charts are calculated together to gather one set of midpoint data, which is then plotted on a chart.  aphrodite IP: Logged |

Thanks Alena and Aphrodite  I have two more questions...
Why do the people always think in synastry when they want to know the compatibility between a couple ? Is synastry more important than composite chart ? I'm sorry for the stupid questions but it is a doubt that I have there for a while.  love

hi jackie,i don't particularly know why people think the things they do  synastry is good for understanding how people will most likely interact given their predispositions. composite is primarily good for looking at the dynamics of the relationship itself, which is most evident in long-term cases. aphrodite IP: Logged |

Hi Jakie,A Synastry chart shows how two people affect each other, make each other feel. A Composite chart is about the relationship itself, how it will fare. It is meeting halfway from each natal chart. So, the Synastry is about the individuals, the Composite is about the relationship. I think the Synastry is more important for the most part, but the Composite helps to pinpoint little nuances or difficulties in an established long term relationship. Donna

A composite chart is a type of synastry. There are other types or synastry, and a composite chart is only one.Love,
