Topic: Capricorn rising

I'd like to hear from those of you who have a Capricorn Ascendant, or know someone who does. what are you experiences, how do you look, and what ever elese you want to share. I'll start: my ascendant is 27 Capricorn, My Moon Cancer, and my Sun Virgo. I'm male, 5 ft 11 I have black (now graying) hair I'm 61 and look in my 40's Those who don't know me see me as somewhat aloof and reserved I had a very difficult childhood and suffered from an inferiority complex for years until I got my head together. I'll give more later as the discussion continues. Look forward in hearing from you all.

The Girl i'm visiting in summer is an Aquarius sun with a 14 Leo Moon and a 5 Capricorn rising.She has been accused of being a little snobbish at times (well...I can only repeat what she's told me since I havent actually met her in the flesh yet) and is generally a pretty tough character. How does she look? gorgeous?

My maternal grandmother has Cappie rising (although I'm not sure of the degree; she has an Aqua Sun and Taurus Moon) -
I can only give you a 2nd hand acct of her behavior, b/c I'm pretty sure she'd poo-pooh me if I asked her about her "ascendant" ("Ascendant? What do you mean? Think about something useful.")*She can seem to be one of the toughest ladies around - and my grandfather always knew that he was in trouble when her face would turn to stone and her eyes would go from dark brown to black; as far as I can remember I've not been on the recieving end of that glare, but I've seen others, and they just wilt. *She has high cheekbones and had dark hair (although I don't know how much that counts for b/c she has a good deal of Native American blood), and her face pretty much always looks stern. She was very active (track, cross-country, long-jump...and she's 5'2'') when she was younger, but got married at 18 and settled down. From what I understand at around 35 she began to put on weight; she's not fat, but she's definately sturdy. *She's very hard on my little brother (who's a Cancer Sun, Cappie Moon, Leo Rising), but I think that part of it is that she equates being tough on someone w/ affection. *She has to be (or think she that she is) in charge of every situation. My daughter has Capricorn Ascendant, Saggitarius Sun and Scorpio moon.
She is a very pretty twelve year-old girl. 
We are true friends, she repeats several times a day that loves me, our relationship is wonderful... but she can be very cruel when she wants... 
With her friends, she is always wanting to give orders and for that reason, she ends up losing many friends.
She has obsession for details and always observes hers and other people's defects . She is very critical with people, and with herself, always demanding perfection.
Very responsible, she makes her home work and studies for the exams alone. Her plan for the future is that she will be an architect, will study in Italy - Art's history - and later she will follow career in U.S. - where she was born.
She is diabetic since five years old.Love

Asc. 11 CappyHe's the kind of guy who, on the surface, can get along with anyone and adapt to most situations. When you get to know him, he sometimes quietly (yet strongy) expresses his dislikes. He's 5'9 or so...curly hair, full lips, average/thin build, round Aquarian ink-spot eyes, laughs a lot and is actually affectionate. He's one of my very closest friends-I;ve known him since I was 16 and worked at an after-school program for K-4th graders. He's 9 years older than me and he was my perfect escape buddy (he would drive us to the water, or to a park where we'd play on the swings and talk. I can't really, really, truly talk to most people, but I can talk to him) Somewhere, perhaps cosmically, we're always the same age. We've also never met each other's friends. Also, he always seems to feel the need to be with someone (not typically Aquarian). There's always some girl. (Mars in Aries, Venus in Pisces) And he's been unfaithful, but the other woman was always someone he's adored for a long time. He has a melancholy side, too, but it's like pulling teeth to get him to talk about it. I think he also avoids responsibility and is often quite forgetful. Moon 5 Cappy
Asc. 20 Cappy She also has curly/wavy hair...5'9 or so...thin/average build, dark round eyes. She always has a different guy in her life and is extremely outgoing. (Venus Leo/Mars Cancer) She laughs easily, and does so alot. She is very amicable and gets along with so many people, and is also able to get along in many different situations. She's also prone to sickness. Both of my friends seem to focus very heavily on the significant other in their lives. Their major difference is that he avoids responsibility, and she's much more focused (she's all earth). --------------------------------------------- Oh, and one last friend... He's: Sun 14 Libra

Asc. 9 Cappy He's about 5'10-5'11, dark round dark eyes, full lips, average/thin build (I'm sensing a pattern here) and is also...one of those guys everyone likes. I think it's more the Libra in him though. He doesn't talk about girls as much, but is definitely searching (he's just more private about it than most-Venus/Mars in Libra). Hello!You stated your physical description because you associate the physical look of a person with the ascendant?? THen Capricorn ascendants would look like what we suppose capricorn suns to look like...hiding the true nature.WHich is why looking like a Scorpio type---dark,forbidding,cold,very aloof and an air of violence(and I'm quoting things told to me about first impressions
of me!) has protectd my Pisces suns' sensibility and other 'softer' characteristics.
My Aquarians' Saturn is in his 1st house with his moon.Sagittarius ascendant.I always though he looked like a Capricorn---tall, almost SPock-like,very regal but not flashy,very reserved than you get hit with his wacky rebellious Aquarian side.It's helped along with the Sagittarius I suppose.But he looks very Saturnian? and that is not his true nature. Hi Lanny, I have a Cappy ascendant. I think You have my birth data ***am) I don`t know the degrees & have a Virgo moon.
I feel my moon more than my ascendant. In fact, Cappys traits are alien to me.
I`m logical most of the time & a complete dreamer the rest. I like being alone except for my 4 legged companions, like to be busy & am at one with nature. People describe me differently. Some say I`m reserved, some say intellegent & outgoing... some say I`m the nicest person & others what a b**** I am. Same for my physical description. No 2 people describe my physical attributes the same!! I have red hair & green eyes but ya would be suprised at how many people say blond or brown hair or blue eyes.I`ve been "read" many times as a shapeshifter... Assuming thats why the dif. descriptions.
Anyhow, thats a brief me juniperb

Hi, I also have a Cap rising. People see me as young, serious, stern, hard, reserved, responsible, thorough, demanding respect and (impossibly) high standards of both my self and others, easy to talk to, able to meet people on their own level and just plain able. Looks like a Leo, has a Leo mane, but is bony built, which I guess is the Cap influences. Tall. Seems very serious and strict before you get to know him, extremly ambitious (but has a strong 10th house).My very, very dear friend (female):

Actually, the charts of these two persons are very similar. This friend looks like the twin sister of astrologer Bob Marks (who is a Cappy), except her hair being more fair. She also has this restrictive, serious air about her untill you get to know her. Both my friends had a rather though childhood, but in different ways. My male friend grew up with very strict religious parents (Jupiter in 10th house, square Moon). My other friend had to take responsibility very early, in a family firm (Saturn 4th house). My son:

There's a seriousness to Capricorn rising people that is unmistakable. Even when they're joking around, it's of the deadpan variety. In fact, plenty of very humorous people have Capricorn Ascendants. It's all in the timing...and the fact that they don't giggle before the joke is over.

No way!! I'm Cap Rising, Leo Sun, Cancer Moon...maybe it's my Moon-ASC opposition? I am very non-traditional, all about unseating, radicalizing, and busting up traditions, in fact (8th house solar stellium, maybe?) I am a believer in making Leo things (creativity, FUN, romance, true love, the arts) my #1 priority, with 8th house things a close second. I don't think anyone should live out of a sense of duty or obligation, and my career and romantic choices have reflected that. Career-wise, I don't care about money or security as long as I am writing and my work is good. I definitely do my work, but I love it (writing) so much that it doesn't feel like work. I've never had much money, but it's an area that just seems to take care of itself (Pisces Jupiter in the 2nd house, trine my Moon and Saturn.) I don't relate much to that description. I AM very responsible, though...when I choose passion over security in my career, it's a sober and conscious choice. I never pay a bill late or miss a deadline. My Cappie Rising shows in how I start things--I try to stay cool instead of showing my full hand when I'm new to a scene. When I was younger, I had a reputation for being an "ice queen"--hard-to-get. Some people mistook my shyness for hauteur. Sometimes even now I self-sabotage with my instinct to stay cool and dignified...like with the guy I have a crush on (with whom we both get really silly when we are relaxed), sometimes if I'm feeling a little hurt or nervous I'll freeze up and get really cold toward him, which is NOT how I want to act when I get to see him. Looks-wise, I am medium-sized (5'5"-5'6"), with long dark-blond Leo hair and dark blue eyes. People mistake me for younger. I think my Cap rising shows a lot in my personal style--I am seriously Leonine, but I like a subtle, healthy, natural look--natural flowing hair (no hair products) in the color the gods picked, no obvious makeup, favorite jeans and tight men's cashmere V-neck sweaters, etc. I do get Leonine (or is it 8th house-y?) with perfume--I have to have top-notch real perfume oils that I can custom-mix.

I get told I am snobbish and cruel at times.I just like to point out what is wrong and what should be changed I never mean it in a rude way it just comes out in a tone like that. Can be very tough, always worrying always ready to survive. People say I always look very serious. Part native as well

I noticed Cappy rising females are really, really petite. Is this true for other Cappy risings out there? My Cappy rising friends are like 5'0 - 5'2 lol, they look incredibly young (they're in their early 20's but look like they're 13), cute petite features, with brains and beauty.IP: Logged |

Cappy female risings go in height often;with boys u have few of them lanky;what is shockingly present with them are their small bones:hands,wrists,ankles... So lady-like!
I am starting to think that cappy rising doesn't 'give' height...

well...like I said I am Cappy rising, and ummmm...I am 6'1! lol I reached 6'0 by the time I was 12...that must just be in the genes! My daughter is Cappy Sun and she is 5'7...my Cancer/Sun, and Cancer rising boys...are very tall as well...I am not good at describing or talking about myself personally, but I do know that I don't look my age...I do have above average intelligence, but so does my Scorp rising bf, as well as my kids...
I can dress up totally...yes looking good is a trait here perhaps, but I am also a Libra Sun...I like to hang out with men rather than women, they can talk about anything and it is pretty much okay...I was a HUGE football fan once upson a time...I know a little about a cars vehicle problems, i like to fish...I can be a tomboy too is what I am getting at...I get along with just about anybody...my childhood, especially the teeage years weren't great.... lol @ soulful....although I have dated men, and married a couple who were shorter than me, height, as looks never mattered to me...I like the fact that my bf is 6'2...a friend of ours calls us the giants...and when we are with my boys, their girls are the odd ones out! They be in the 'land of the giants'lol...must be a Neanderthal lineage!
EDIT: So my bf says it would be Amazon lineage, not neanderthal since they were actually quite short... *blonde*
