Hi, fellow-knowflakes!

I have a transiting Saturn-natal Sun conjunction coming up, so I'd like to know what your experience was/is with it?
Gemini Suns are experiencing that now, Tauruses did a couple of years ago, maybe still feeling it, and Arieses, Pisces and all others... What was it like?

Did or do you feel any changes, did the you of you change somehow with this? Did/do you feel that you've become a "new" person somehow?

I'm looking forward to your feedbacks!

Well hello Morgana !

I have a Gemini friend who's been in it and for me it will soon be there too (zero degree Cancer)! So I am wondering myself. But I know it can turn out differently for one or the other. This guy really goes on air at the moment (also has Saturn/Saturn conj. in his 12th). He has been experiencing an enourmous change in everything inside and out, physical, work related etc..(of course it matters in what house and what other aspects are going around). But at least it is VERY, VERY, VERY positive for him! So....WHOOPI! I am shaking his both hands on this as I find myself on the peak of my life. Really! I am on air too! And we shared our energy together last weekend, it was bliss! Yep I am sure we change big time!

Don't stop, don't stop, don't stop the beat, can't stop, can't stop, can't stop the beat, won't stop, won't stop, won't stop the beat. Everybody move your feet. OoH YEAH!

Wow, this was one positive reply!! Thanks, Mercy!

Shared your energy, that's a new expression...

I'm happy for your guy, it's must be an awsome feeling to experience both the Saturn transit to your Sun and the famous Saturn return (is that the right expression?).

Linda said in Gooberz that when Saturn transits your natal Sun, you may receive a piece of a new soul or something like that, hence the transformation of your personality, but only if you're ready, if you have evolved enough during the last 7-year cycle. That's why I'm so curious about whether anybody has felt this change in him/her.

Mercy, you're ahead of me in line (I'm a bit further away in Cancer as well), so you'll be able to tell me when it happens to you.

shine on

Oh Morgana you make me even more excited! I guess I have got some great times ahead, well...I know..wait and see. But somehow I always have for-play fun anyway regardless the outcome and I have aleady been feeling on top of the world (except for that Mars transit before new years)!

Donna told me about a Cinderella time coming and starting on 3rd of feb. Uranus trining my sun and something...
Well dear Morgana, I will make sure to let you know either in the process, during or shortly after (it takes till may still). Either way! Thank you so much for your smile . And you have to let us know TOO when it happens to you!

The transiting Saturn conjunct natal Sun aspect can signal both fulfillment and difficulty. Roughly 14 years ago, when Saturn was opposed to your Sun, you went through a time of testing. Some of your endeavors failed during the testing and were left behind, however you began other new projects as well. If these projects were worthy they will be baring fruit now. If they were not, they should have dropped by the roadside and been discarded. Many of us however, still cling to such failed projects, refusing to admit that they have failed. Relationships, careers, are two common areas where we find it hard to accept defeat. But even in admitting defeat, we need to realize that over the years we have learned more about ourselves, and grew internally and externally. What we thought we needed then and what we have grown to understand we need now may be different. That’s the way life works, and we have nothing to be ashamed of in growing out of certain parts of our life.

Even if our projects have withstood the test of time, we have a lot of hard work today in completing them successfully. At this time we need to stay focused on these projects and not start anything new that would interfere with their successful completion. We must finish what we started now, no matter how confined we may feel. There is tremendous reward in completing these tasks. Saturn’s energy restricts the Suns energy right now so we must try to remain focused on what we need to do to complete our work, so that in a few months when this aspect is over, we can start with a renewed energy to build our life.

Thanks, Lanny! (By the way, did you get my e-mail?)

Mercy, you're on a real happy cloud! Are you always this cheerful?

Any other experiences with grand ole Saturn on your Sun?

Morgana, lately YEP I am happy as can be! You can see me laughing just about anything! But the times are also strange (Nept/Moon conjunct exact) and nerve wrecking so makes you tired sometimes (as I am speeding) and a lot to think about. Saturn does his job very well as usual! As I have a few more things going on with him. High five to Saturn (has he got any hands left to do this? )!

Hey better yet high five to all!

From Happy chappy!

Mercy and Morgana,

I have Gemini Sun in my 3rd house and Saturn transiting over it brought testing and change to my relationship with my brother (3rd house/siblings). I'm happy to say I/we passed the test, and that change has been for the BETTER. The test itself was uncomfortable, but I can see now it was necessary. The effect has been that of maturing (Saturn) our relationship and we are now closer than ever.

Since transiting Pluto in Sag. (my 9th) was opposing my natal Sun AND transiting Saturn too, I have undergone some profound inner changes as well. Most importantly to me, there has been a transformation in a spiritual sense. After much questioning of my beliefs, I have found not only a peace, but a strength of conviction that was never there before. So...yes, I would say that because the Saturn/Pluto transits affected my Sun (identity), I have a new "piece" added to my soul. And yes, I was ready! I think the "readiness" for this could have something to do with age and/or maturity (I'm a Baby Boomer, lol)...though I also believe that whatever age you are when these transits occur, one must be receptive and willing to go with the flow, so to speak. I hope this helps a little.

Saturn is presently going over my natal Mercury and my thinking processes have become both more serious and more focussed...good for me, since too often my thoughts get scattered, lol. When Saturn enters Cancer, my natal Mars will be affected and I admit to being a little concerned as to what this will mean. Has anyone's natal Mars been touched by Saturn recently?

If you asking what is the effect of transiting Saturn conjunct natal Mars, then this period of time can be very frustrated to you, because you find it a difficult time for you to achieve your goals due to opposition from others. The problem with this aspect is that you build anger up within yourself, but may not have a positive outlet for the frustrations you will feel. The root of the problem may stem from certain activities started 14 years ago when transiting Saturn last conjuncted your natal Mars.

The best strategy for coping with this aspect is to bide your time, don’t lash out at others; you will only compile your problems. The problem doesn't lie in them anyway, its comming from inside you. If you work out, jog, play some sport, use that as an exscape value to dispel all of the pent-up energy. The one thing that you must not do is to try to hold that frustration within you. It can create health problems which nobody needs.

The key is to find an appropriate means to express those pentup feelings, without compounding the problems, or creating new ones.

Twin
lady: That's so wonderful you and your brother. Isn't it amazing!? And don't we just love hearing that!

I guess I do have more to say on this but my thoughts are far somewhere, cannot seem to get hold of them at this moment. But I did want to say that I am curious to see what Saturn will do in May/June, when it is exact on my Sun, as this will be the most busy (and then I mean hectic) time of the year at work. Saturn is transiting my 10th house. I will keep you posted.
I guess it makes a whole lot of difference I have Uranus Trining my Sun at that time too. And of course this counts for everybody, doesn't it?! I mean having other transits smoothen it or making it more hard! Especially Mars! Mars you go take a hike now. Off you go from my Neptune. You heared me! You're done!
I know there is disagreement of the orb of a transit; Some say 1 some say 3 or more. But one funny thing worth mentioning is that when Uranus was 3 degrees away from Trining my Sun (back in Aug.'02) I did change a lot about me. I decided to go to the gym to go squashing, I suddenly (boy really suddenly) quit smoking, things like that. It is amazing! So that's why I know it has influence much further away than 1 degree. How about you? As I really believe it was Uranus's doing!
Well I am drifting off here. The talk was about Saturn and the Sun, but hey....discussions with me will always loose track but they always come back to where it started.
So you were saying...? Oh Saturn? Really, Oh yeah, that was it! I forgot!

Twinlady,
thanks for reminding me! I totally forgot to look at the house where this will take place!

I'm happy for you and your brother! Thanks for sharing your experience! Over a year ago I experienced the Saturn return (Saturn transiting my natal Saturn) and I must say I expected something crucial to happen, but it didn't. Then, after a year or so, I started to feel the maturity creep (:laughing) into my soul and I think this is due to Saturn, only the effect was somehow postponed for a year or so. I suppose it started to happen then, but I only FEEL the change now.
As for your Mars affected by Saturn, I think, as Illog said, you'll accumulate a lot of frustration due to Saturn preventing action (BTW, adverse aspects of Mars and Saturn are the aspects of war. But don't get scared, this is symbolical, it literally means frustration of action). Saturn restricts, limits, so it'll probably limit your actions and you have to prepare yourself so you won't be frustrated by this. When it releases its grip, all the energy accumulated will be set free and things will speed up, everything that Mars in your chart represents will get new vigor and enthusiasm. With Saturn it's just a matter of patience. Good luck!
My Mars is in Aquarius, so I can't really tell you my experience because I don't remember.

Mercy, I think June will be very important in your career or whatever you've been working on and putting effort into, and I think because Uranus will trine your Sun, there will be some sudden positive changes. I think this will be a very good time for you, especially so because you strike me as a very positive person. I can hardly wait for you to tell me what it was like!

I think a transit of a slower planet (Saturn) lasts a month or so to a year or so, that's Pluto, the slowest (but don't take my word for it as I didn't look it up now), depends which, because the orb is about 2 degrees, I think.

And Mars isn't all that bad, depends for which sign - some signs need the Mars energy more than others, for example Pisces and Cancer, to help them be more assertive.

Illog, have you got my e-mail?

Thanks again, guys, see you later!

I was wondering...

I have transiting Saturn square my Sun now.

It's been (very!) tough four weeks, the whole April basically. It is not the only transit that affects me now, but it is probably one the hardest ones to deal with. It's newly emerged and feels very difficult.

What do you think - is the effect more or less the same as with the conjunct covered earlier in this topic? The square can be even harsher, couldn't it? How have you coped with this transit? How did it make you feel? Either conjunct, square or opposition.

Saturn opposed my Sun in November 2013. I'm not quite sure how the aspect manifested. I just remember being extremely lonely that month and choosing to direct my energy into writing.

Transit Saturn conjuncts my natal Sun in Sagittarius 3 times (because of the retrograde it goes back and forth): January 2016, May 2016, and October 2016.

Then in December 2016 (and again in August 2017) it conjuncts my natal Venus in Sagittarius.

My 1st Saturn return is also coming up in a few years (I have Saturn in Capricorn).

I feel like I become more and more mature with each day which is essentially a good thing. Unfortunately I often feel a bit down and sad for no reason.

Writing is a fantastic way to let go of some burdening feelings.

Yes. To the becoming more mature.

For the past month or so I've been feeling down often, in a harsh way (reaaallly down), and for no real reason, really. Or nothing that I can really think of as a proper reason. This throws me into an analyzing mode, which can only make me feel more down. Bah! Anyway, over the course of summer the effect of Saturn should be somewhat neutralized I hope.
