Topic: Rising Sign Accuracy?

Greetings everyone! I have a small dilemma...when I got my chart done a few years back, I was told that I had Gemini rising (and I never questioned it as it seemed to fit me). According to Astro.com, however, I have Cancer rising...and its description fits me too. Can anyone out there confirm which one it is for me? My bdate is 7/30/63, and I was born at 4:46 am (in Mount Vernon, Westchester County, New York). Thanks a bunch!IP: Logged |

Ascendent ....
rising house??
1) First -- see the planetary arrangements during that day and time and asign them the houses.
2) see in which house is the SUN. 3) See what time is the birth. 4) fraction the time from 2 hours after sunrise. i.e say if the person is born at 1:00 PM and that day the sunrise was at 6:30 AM ...... take 2 hours and divide ... 6:30 to 1:00 it is 3 1/2 So its 4... Now count 4 house from the house where sun is positioned .. and thats the ascendent... 6:30 - 8:30 = one house
8:30 - 10:30 = 2 houses
10:30 - 12:30 = 3 house
12:30 - 2:30 = 4 houses etc

samarthrao, thanks for your message but you totally lost me...I am an astrological novice, I know little about houses and such, so I'm still confused!Zerep, maybe you are right and this is a mistake on astro's part...but I have no way of knowing...does anyone know a good astrologer or a more accurate site? astro.com has told me I have a Taurus Rising sign & a less-reknown site has told me I've got an Aries Rising, and I have a hard time recognizing my Rising sign traits so I'm confused as well...IP: Logged |

its not just rising signs but mars aswell, it said I have Mars in aquarius which is wrong I have Mars in Virgo ; Mars didn't enter Aquarius that year.IP: Logged |
