I've recently noticed that several of my creative/designer friends and co-workers have Aries somewhere in their chart - Myself included.
I've found Aries on the MC and Jupiter, 10th house venus, mercury and mars, moon in Aries, sun in Aries, Aries rising... Anyone else who is creative/artistic with a dash a Aries?
I'm not sure why this is so, perhaps it adds to the drive that's needed to succeed in a competitive field????

Kat,

I have six planets in Aries and am very artistic. I was an actress but then became a talent manager in L.A. I think it may come from the fact that Aries is very creative (Like Leo) and also competitive. Two of my friends mothers are Aries and are Artist (funny you mentioned that)

I have Mercury and Venus in Aries...art has always been in my Life and still is since I'm back in school to get an art teachers degree...my critics always refer to the energy and dynamic quality of my work...nothing watery about my way of expressing myself...very enthusiastic.I also have Uranus in Leo and Jupiter in Sag conjuct the ascendant to add more fire! I never associated Aries and art....glad you brought it up.

Hi guys . I am pretty artistic (painting). I have Moon and Venus conjunct in Aries ........maybe it's because Aries is a fire sign. I noticed that the fire and water signs are creative types.

Greetings...

Fire signs in general seem to have an artistic bent, not that the other elements don't, but many of the INSPIRED ones have a prominent Fire Sign.

I know two artists who were both born on December 17th, in different years, but they both have a natural talent for drawing.

Linda was an Aries and had a way with words, which is also an ART, as well as a skill at interior design.

Another Sagittarian friend of mine was a natural artist, and now she's a quilter and avid fan/practitioner of interior design. She has a niece that is a Leo, and they are working on a proposal for the DIY network.

Though I will say that the Fire Signs tend to need to be INSPIRED to work.. they aren't always great at the follow through. i.e. they tend to work best when "the spirit moves them".

Just my two cents...

Pax et bonum...
A

Hi all!
I'm a Pisces with Venus in Aries. I like everything related to arts. I draw and paint, I'm trying to learn guitar and piano myself, and I've always loved dancing, but most of these things come mainly from my sun sign and my rising (Libra), I think.
Anyway, my 15 years old sister's an Aries and she made up her mind very soon about what she wanted to be, she'll study art to be a designer. She loves fashion, original designs, bright colors, etc. and she's really good in decorating. She has a very good taste.

See ya!

A, that is me to a T

I forgot to mention I love to dance and I also sing and play piano...maybe I'm more artistic than I thought? However, there is that need to be inspired.....haha

Now I wonder??? What about Voices?? Do Libra's & Taurus's have the best voices? Taurus rules the throat (Barabara Streisand, Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald) and Libra well they just speak & sing with ease (Eminem, Julie Andrews, George Gershwin, John Lennon). I heard that if you have Venus in Libra, you are most likely to have a great voice...

With both the Sun and Venus in Aries, I do tend to be rather artistic, although Aselzion hit the nail on the head in saying INSPIRATION must be the impetus. Case in point: after seeing a few episodes of "While You Were Out" and "Trading Spaces," I was inspired to breathe new life into my bedroom. This past weekend I began refinishing my old pine furniture, and gave it a crackled finish -- and have been inspired to decorate my bedroom in a decidedly decadent (this may be my 12th house Scorp in Neptue and Scorp rising) pallette of silver, black, and pearlescent white. I know that it will be beautiful once completed. Then I'll be idle until I'm inspired to take up some new project -- and, again, I won't start anew until I am actually INSPIRED to do so.

Shieldrocks,
My boss is a Taurus and he's singing in a choir. Most of the Taurus I know have a monotone voice, gentle, soft and deep.
I've Libra rising and some people says I have a kind voice. I can't sing, but I just love music and arts. My Libra friends have also a nice way of speaking, but I think this charm doesn't come only from voice, it's the whole group of manners they have, they ARE gentle. So it seems they fit in every artistic field.
My two cents

Thank all!
It seems there is something to having a dash of Aries that adds to being artistic. I've noticed a few of you have your venus in Aries. I have one planet my Jupiter (9th house) and my midheaven in Aries, most of my planets are in water signs. I'm very artistic and creative in the visual arts. I always thought the Aries made me a workaholic, but a some said they need to be inspired to get working. So I now know it's the cap in my 6th house.

RubyRedRam-
I'm glad you found you have a creative side. Keep looking and you'll find more.

Aselzion-
I also know quite a few Sag artists. Spielberg, Hitchcock, Wood Allen, and I think Tim Burton are all Sag.

I wonder if there are any artists out there with no planets in fire ?

my moon, venus, ceres & vesta form a stellium
i am all thumbs and have no talent in anything really. i am very creative in my mind, kind of inventive i guess, but lack the physical coordination i guess you could say. people say i have a great knack for color, like decorating my house. it maybe my scorpio neptune in the 5th house??
aries sits in my 11th house along with my taurus sun. i think i have a bad singing voice for a taurus sun maybe its my mercury in gemini in the 12th house actually 11/12. i have my 10th house midheaven in pisces, and asc. in cancer. i am rather emotional.i wish i would be talented. i never tried art maybe i should, i do love music and played piano in my early teens and did well until i notice the opposite sex, then whoopie tee do. i lost my head for about 10 years.

Kat,

There was a study on a site I went to that said more famous people had their moon in Aquarius than any other sign. Most famous people also had their moon in the 1st house as well. Interesting....

To answer your question...I don't think Judy Garland had any planets in a fire sign, she had alot of Gemini and Cancer though. Vivien Leigh had way too much Scorpio...yikkes! (although she did play an Aries : Scarlett O'Hara)

Alena and jjjax,

Hey, I was just going to ask if there were any other Aries Moon people out there. It seems that there are tons of Cancer and Scorpio moons around, but I hardly encounter other Aries moons like myself.

I have always been artistic, from drawing / painting / creating advertisments to decorating my house. I have Sun conjunct Venus in Sagittarius, Moon in Aries Neptune, Jupiter and Mars in Scorpio and Pisces. I can almost feel art, if that makes sense, from nature (which pleases me more than anything) to paintings in a gallery.

I have almost a visceral response to art, do you find that to be true to you as well?

Speaking of Aries Moons, where is your placement. Mine is in the 7th house (and opposes my Uranus in Libra while squaring my Cappy Mercury) How do you deal with the moon phases or how it passes through the signs?

Maybe that should be another thread? I'll think about that.

LOL...Leave it to a Leo to extol their own virtues. Actually, reading that post did make me blush a bit. My Leo is also very creative and something seems to "spark" when a Leo and Sag are left to their own creative devices in the bedroom or anywhere for that matter!
